Golf for golf haters, the mysterious world of the two-headed dog, the mad goose simulator and other independent projects.
1. Creaks
Platforms: PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
A horror platformer from the developers of Samorost, in which you will have to solve puzzles and avoid monsters. Little is known about the game yet, but it is interesting at least because this is the first project of Amanita Design not in the quest genre.
2. PHOGS
Platforms: unknown.
The protagonist of PHOGS! - a two-headed dog that can stretch. He lives in an unusual colorful world full of amazing creatures to interact with and puzzles to solve.
The game resembles Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons with an unusual control scheme. The left half of the controller is responsible for one head of the dog, and the right half for the other.
3. Phoenix Point
Platforms: PC.
Turn-based strategy from the creator of the first parts of X-COM. According to the plot, in 2022, the world was struck by an alien virus that turns people and animals into creepy monsters. After a few years, almost all people either died or became monsters.
The player in the role of the head of a secret organization needs to train fighters and control them during missions. And also to solve political problems: the survivors were divided into several factions, and each of them has its own views on the future of humanity.
4. Psychonauts 2
Platforms: PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The long-awaited sequel to the acclaimed action platformer. As in the first part, in Psychonauts 2 players will try on the role of "psychonaut" named Raz.
The hero will have to penetrate the minds of eccentric people and solve riddles using telekinesis, pyrokinesis and other abilities. Signature humor and memorable characters are included.
5. Sable
Platforms: PC and Xbox One.
An incredibly stylish adventure in which the player will explore a mysterious planet and uncover the secrets of a lost civilization. Visually, the game resembles the work of the French illustrator Möbius and the films of Studio Ghibli.
6. Sea of Solitude
Platforms: PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
In the mystical adventure Sea of Solitude, you will need to explore a flooded city and look for a mysterious creature that lives in it. Exploring the world will help you learn more about the main character and her past.
7. Session
Platforms: PC and Xbox One.
Session is a skater simulator inspired by the famous Skate series. The main thing in him is freedom. There is no score counter or player rating. Only a skateboard and huge locations where you can ride as and wherever you want.
8. Spelunky 2
Platforms: PC and PlayStation 4.
The first part of Spelunky was released in 2008 and quickly gained popularity. It was very challenging, but also very exciting. The levels were generated procedurally, any mistake could cost life, and there was no respawn - after death, everything had to start over.
In the sequel, all these features will remain, and there will also be a co-op, new weapons, items, enemies and areas.
9. Trine 4
Platforms: unknown.
There is almost no information about Trine 4, but you can expect from it about the same as in the previous parts. The three main characters (an overweight knight, an agile archer, and a telekinesis wizard) are platforming, co-op, and physics-based puzzles.
10. Untitled Goose Game
Platforms: PC and Nintendo Switch.
Stealth action game in which the player tries on the role of an unkind goose. You will need to break valuable items, steal keys to apartments, throw other people's things into the water, and so on. The main thing is not to be seen by anyone.
11. Wasteland 3
Platforms: PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Continuation of the series of isometric RPGs from the creators of the first parts of Fallout. This time, players will not explore deserts and overgrown cities, but an icy wasteland. Other changes include the ability to customize your own base, a redesigned dialogue system, as well as vehicles and improved combat.
12. What the Golf?
Platforms: PC, Android and iOS.
A golf simulator for those who hate this sport. Here you can use anything you like as a ball, but there are not always holes. Sometimes in the game you will need to start the car from a springboard or, for example, throw a golfer into a hole in the ground.
