How to make a candle from foundation
What is needed
- Foundation;
- wick;
- scissors;
- string or ribbon for decoration;
- dried flowers or other decor.
How to do
Place your supplies on a comfortable table where you can roll a candle. The foundation is an embossed rectangular sheet of wax, it comes in different colors, you can buy it in the online store. In addition to the whole sheet of foundation, you will need a narrow strip for decoration - you can cut it off in advance from the main sheet.
Measure the wick with a margin - its length should be greater than the width of the foundation sheet. Lay it across the sheet, fold the edge of the wax over the wick and press it with your fingers, fixing the rope inside.
Roll up a thick candle. To make it square, you need to give it a shape from the very first turns, pressing it against the table and forming edges.
If any excess wax remains, trim it off and use for decoration.
Cut off the excess length of the wick.
Wrap the rest of the foundation around the candle, pushing harder so that it sticks.
Tie the candle with twine or ribbon, make an even bow.
Decorate with dried flowers or other decor.

How to make a candle from wax or paraffin
What is needed
- Wax, paraffin wax, or the remains of old candles;
- wick with a stand for it;
- a strip of tape (optional);
- dried flowers, sequins, glass beads and other decor at your discretion;
- deep container for a candle;
- a container in which you can melt wax;
- scissors.
How to do
Let the wax melt. This is best done in a water bath, but you can also do it in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. The main thing is to keep the heating to a minimum and stir the mass constantly. The wax becomes liquid at a temperature of a little over 60 ° C; it does not need to be overheated.
Using a strip of scotch tape or a drop of wax, fix the stand with the wick vertically in the center of the candle container.
Slowly, trying not to stain the walls, pour the melted wax. If the wick is thin, you will have to hold it so that it does not tilt.
Wait until the wax stops being completely transparent and starts to harden. Spread the dried flowers on the surface, pressing lightly so that they stick.
Sprinkle with glitter.
Lay out the remaining jewelry - beads, buds. If they don't hold tight enough, moisten them with wax.
Cut the wick to the desired length.

What is needed
- Bulk stearin;
- glass or jar;
- wick;
- scissors.
How to do
Measure and cut the wick - it should be slightly longer than the glass.
Warm the wick in your hands, iron it with your fingers, tightening it so that it holds its shape better.
Pour the stearin into a glass and shake gently several times to even out the mass.
Stick in the wick so that it reaches the very bottom.

How to make a gel candle
What is needed
- Candle gel;
- wick on a stand (better reinforced);
- decorative sand of different colors;
- artificial twigs;
- toy fish;
- seashells, beads and any other decor at will;
- toothpicks or thin sticks;
- blue dye;
- glue gun or glue;
- container for melting the gel;
- glass beaker.
How to do
Prepare and lay out all the components so that it is convenient to use them. The candle glass must be perfectly clean and dry.
Tear the gel into pieces, put in a heat-resistant container and put to melt in a water bath or the lowest heat, do not forget to stir.
While the gel is melting, glue the stand with the wick to the bottom of the glass.
Glue the twigs to the bottom or sides of the glass. Use a toothpick to place the decor as intended.
Add red sand and tilt the glass so that it covers only part of the bottom.
Pour yellow sand on the other part of the bottom.
Add layers of sand of different colors if desired. Be careful not to shake the glass so the colors don't mix.
Arrange the shells and beads.
Add a drop of gel dye to the melted gel and stir well with a wooden stick. The number of bubbles in the finished candle depends on how intensively you mix the gel. In this case, they will decorate the underwater landscape, so you can safely interfere.
In a thin stream, being careful not to dislodge the jewelry, pour in about a third of a glass of liquid gel.
Add fish. If they do not hold well in the desired position, wait a couple of minutes until the gel cools down a little and thickens a little.
Add the rest of the gel.
Line up the wick and secure it between two toothpicks until the candle cools.
