Imagine that you need to put up a tent, build a temporary shelter or raft, and nothing at hand - no nails, no screws, or other useful tools. If you have even a rope, you are saved.
Making reliable ligaments is easy, but you have to practice. We offer you illustrated instructions on how to make three different connections: square, diagonal and parallel.
Preparation
To make any bundle, you need to be able to tie the two simplest knots: a dead harness and a noose. They are needed to fix the ligaments at the beginning and at the end. Therefore, before proceeding directly to tying objects, practice tying these knots.
Dead harness

Square (transverse) ligament
Used to tie two poles at a 90 ° angle. In this bundle there are no intersecting straps, so it is somewhat weaker than the diagonal one. However, the cross brace is still used today for scaffolding in small construction projects.
Diagonal ligament
Used when you need to connect two poles that intersect at an angle of less than 90 °. In this case, the mount is quite rigid. If using tourniquet, sisal, or other inexpensive natural fiber strings, the bunch can be used in gardening applications where trellis needs to be reinforced. It also comes in handy when making kites.
Parallel (straight) ligament
If you need to tie two or three poles together, use a straight tie. Initially, it was used to connect straight posts when installing a ship's mast or for lifting heavy loads. On a hike, such a bundle will come in handy if you need to make a tripod for a bowler hat.
Master this skill: the process will not take long, and the experience gained can be useful in a variety of situations.
