All of this makes the owls feel ashamed and guilty about their adherence to a nocturnal lifestyle.

While flexible working hours are becoming more common, employers continue to favor early risers and unhappy with those who start working in the afternoon.

Owls working remotely often prefer to hide their late waking up. To do this, they resort to various tricks, such as writing letters at night and planning to send them in the morning.

In addition, not all specialties allow flexible working hours. Most owls are forced to work according to the traditional pattern from 9 to 17 hours.

Can an owl become a morning person

American scientists have found that most people go to bed between 10 pm and midnight. Science is on the side of larks: they are considered to be more active, happier, healthier and more pleasant to talk to. The world belongs to the larks, and the owls have to rebuild. However, almost no one succeeds in translating the hands of the internal clock.

Transforming from an owl into a lark is the same as trying to grow 10 cm by self-hypnosis.

Avoiding coffee, avoiding physical activity before bed, listening to relaxing music, dripping essential oils on whiskey, and taking melatonin medications just don't work. And the good old recommendation "go to bed early" drives owls to despair: they know in advance that they will lie down for several hours, and then fall asleep at their usual time.

How to be an owl for fun

The main thing to understand about owls is that they sleep no more than larks. It's just that their sleep phase is shifted a few hours ahead. There is nothing wrong or scary in the fact that you are full of strength and ready for feats when everyone else is already yawning.

If the nightlife does not bother you and you have the opportunity to live in accordance with your biological clock, there is no need to torture yourself. Working at night has its own charms: no one distracts, calls or makes noise. It feels like working in an empty office: not as fun as in a team, but you can collect your thoughts and work hard.

Despite all the attacks, owls are for the most part more creative and dynamic than larks, and also have developed strategic thinking.

Many inventors and people of creative professions preferred to work precisely at night and did it extremely productively.

Therefore, do not rush to think that owls are lazy. Perhaps while you were sleeping, they were saving the world.
