8 ways to find a good movie

More than 7,000 feature films are produced annually, according to a study by the Film Industry Association of America (MPAA). Netflix, the world's largest streaming movie provider, has 36,000 movies. This amount is enough to watch film after film for six and a half years. However, this does not change anything: finding a good movie is always difficult.

We have selected eight tools for finding new films and we hope that with your help their number will grow even more.

1. Random film on "Kinopoisk"

A window with a random movie is located at the very bottom of the page on the right panel. By clicking on the signature "Another random movie", you will be taken to a page where you can select its parameters: year of release, country and genre. The algorithm will select a motion picture taking into account the specified data and its rating - at least six points. Moreover, films with a rating above seven will be highlighted in green.

2. Page with top-end downloads on any torrent tracker

For example, I often go to Kickass and look at the top torrents in terms of downloads. Most often there are recently released films, some of which you want to watch. But there is also a lot of rubbish: next to the good "Avengers" is the terrible "San Andreas Rift".

3. Top-250 IMDB

A page that everyone has visited at least once. It sorted 250 films, depending on the IMDB rating. Having chosen a film, by simple manipulations, you can find its name in Russian, watch it and be sure that the movie is really worthwhile.

4. Advanced search "Kinopoisk"

A page with an impressive number of movie search fields. You can choose a picture not only by genre, but also by studio, creators, text or keywords. A tool for advanced users, but suddenly you are crazy about Asylum studio and want to find all of its films. IMDB has the same tool.

5. A Good Movie to Watch

The site editors manually select films based on several characteristics. First of all, the rating of the film among viewers and film critics, with an emphasis on those films that are not very popular. Therefore, the likelihood that you have watched the films offered by the site is low.

6. Good Movies List

The Good Movies List is based on movie ratings from Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and IMDB. The site looks unimportant, but you will spend a maximum of a couple of minutes on it until you find a suitable movie.

7. WMSIWT

WMSIWT (What Movies Should I Watch Tonight) is a site that answers the question in its title. When you switch to a resource, the playback of a trailer for one of the films starts immediately. The service is curated by editors, so each of the films is hand-selected.
