In the picture below, there are four equations, but instead of variables - Viennese waffles without filling, with chocolate spread, with a double portion of chocolate spread and with strawberries. Determine how much Viennese waffle, chocolate spread, and strawberry each cost.
1. We look at the first equation and remember that 27 is 3³. This means that one Viennese waffle costs 3 rubles.
2. Two Viennese waffles with chocolate paste cost 10 rubles. If each waffle is sold for 3 rubles, then it is easy to calculate the cost of chocolate paste: (10 - 2 × 3) ÷ 2 = 4 ÷ 2 = 2 rubles.
3. Waffle with a double portion of chocolate paste and waffle with strawberries together cost 11 rubles. To find out the price of strawberries, subtract the already known cost of the ingredients: 11 - 3 × 2 - 2 × 2 = 1 ruble.
4. We already know how much each ingredient costs. We test our hypothesis by adding all the components separately: 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 15.
Answer: Viennese waffle - 3 rubles, chocolate paste - 2 rubles, strawberries - 1 ruble.
