Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new Mi Mix 2S smartphone. The device looks a lot like the iPhone X but lacks a notch at the top of the screen. One of the main features of the novelty is a dual camera with wide-angle and telephoto lenses. Combined with the capabilities of artificial intelligence, the device should produce stunning images.
The Mi Mix 2S has a ceramic body and aluminum bezels, and a 6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2,160 × 1,080 pixels. Inside is a powerful Snapdragon 845 processor and 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the configuration. According to the company, in the AnTuTu test, the smartphone produces an impressive 277,178 points.
The device is available in versions with 64, 128 and 256 GB of internal memory. It works on the basis of Android 8.0 Oreo under the proprietary shell of Xiaomi - MIUI.
According to the demonstration, the Mi Mix 2S focuses on objects faster than the iPhone X. The smartphone's camera is equipped with a Sony IMX363 sensor, capable of taking high-quality photos in low light conditions. The camera supports optical zoom and stabilization, as well as portrait mode with background blur effect. In the DxoMark test, the new phone from the Chinese company, like Apple's flagship, scored 97 points.
Mi Mix 2S can be charged with wireless Qi devices up to 7.5W. The phone has an NFC module for contactless payments and supports Google's ARCore augmented reality technology.
The base model Mi Mix 2S with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage costs approximately $ 525. The option with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, as well as a wireless charger in the kit, will cost approximately $ 640. So far, the smartphone has only been announced for China.
