Problem about tourists who really want to go shopping on one day

In the resort town, the bookstore closes every Monday, the flower shop every Tuesday, the souvenir shop every Thursday, and the jewelery shop is open only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. All shops have a day off on Sunday.

Tourists Katya, Misha, Nikita and Sasha allotted one day to go shopping - everyone needs to get to a certain store, moreover, only one. On the way, the guys exchanged the following phrases.

Katya: "Sasha and I wanted to go to the store together earlier this week, but there wasn’t such a day that we both could make our purchases."

Misha: "I didn't want to go today, but tomorrow I won't be able to buy what I need."

Nikita: "And I could have gone to the store yesterday and the day before yesterday."

Sasha: "And I could have gone yesterday and tomorrow."

Who needs which store?

Let's draw up a table and mark the days off of the outlets in it.

Mon. Tue Wed NS. Fri. Sat. Sun.
Book - -
Floral - -
Souvenir - -
Jewelry - - - -

According to the schedule, tourists went shopping either on Wednesday or Friday, because only on these days all shops are open.

The Friday option can be dropped right away. As you can see from the schedule, all stores are open on Wednesday. This means that Sasha and Katya could go together before Friday, each to their own, and this contradicts Katya's remark in the problem statement.

It turns out that the guys went shopping on Wednesday. It is easy to understand from the table that Nikita is going to the souvenir shop (“I could have gone to the store yesterday and the day before yesterday”), Sasha - to the bookstore (“I could have gone yesterday and tomorrow”), Misha - to the jewelry store (“I didn't want to go today, but tomorrow I won't be able to buy what I need”). So, Katya needs a flower one. This is consistent both with her phrase and with the store schedule.

Answer: Nikita needs a souvenir shop, Sasha needs a book shop, Misha needs a jewelry shop, Katya needs a flower shop.
