How to make one-story cat houses out of boxes

What do you need

• 2 identical large boxes;
• adhesive tape;
• scissors;
• stationery knife;
• marker, pencil or pen;
• brush or roller;
• White paint;
• yellow paint;
• pink paper;
• glue gun;
• paper with pictures and patterns;
• twine;
• 2 colored straws for drinks;
• litter.

How to do

1. Take the first box and tape the seam at the bottom with duct tape both outside and inside.

2. Cut off the two side flaps from the back.

3. Adjust the other two flaps with scissors so that you get triangles.

4. Draw the outline of the door in front under one triangle - a large vertical rectangle split in half lengthwise. Cut the cardboard along the marked lines and along the bottom of the box. Open the resulting door.

5. Draw a window with a frame on the side of the box and cut along the contour.

6. On the triangle above the door, draw and cut out a small round window with a frame.

7. Take the second box and separate the two side panels from it. Glue them together.

8. Place the structure on the house and attach the back and front to the triangles.

9. Paint the walls of the house white. Walk on the doors outside and inside with yellow paint.

10. Cut out "tiles" out of pink paper - a lot of not too large rectangles with rounded edges. Hot glue the straight side of the parts and attach them in rows to the roof.

11. Cut a few triangular flags out of patterned paper and glue them to the string. Attach it with glue above the door. Make tubular handles on the doors. Place a warm mat inside the house.

How to make two-story cat houses from boxes

What do you need

• Several cardboard boxes;
• scissors;
• stationery pin;
• pencil;
• ruler;
• stationery knife;
• glue gun;
• thin plastic;
• a pillow or basket with something soft.

How to do

1. Cut a narrow strip out of the cardboard and pierce the side with a pin. Insert a pencil there, place it on cardboard and, holding the part at one end, scroll it in a circle.

2. Draw a long, straight line under the circle to the right. Draw another horizontal line from the middle of the circle in the same direction. Connect them with one vertical.

Cut out the shape with a clerical knife. Prepare another shape in the same way.

3. Cut out some rectangular windows in a large piece of cardboard. Using a glue gun, attach this piece to one circle.

4. Cut a piece from the cardboard: the height should match the height of the structure made, and the width should match the length of the rectangular piece at the front of the base. Cut out a door and a window with a frame in a piece. Attach the element to the front of the house.

5. Cover the back wall with a solid piece of cardboard, and the narrow side wall with cardboard with a window cut out in it.

6. Cut the circle from the other part from the second step. Glue it horizontally into the round piece, just below the top edge. Attach the other cut off over the walls with the door and windows.

7. Cut out some of the shapes shown in the photo. Glue them together to make the parts thicker.

8. Vertically glue the small pieces to the hole plate. Attach the second piece on the other side. This will be a staircase.

9. Make bumpers on the second floor, as shown in the photo and video.

10. Top in the middle, glue the cardboard so that a tunnel forms.

11. On the side, above the window, glue the ladder. Close the seams on its railing with thin strips of cardboard.

Attach a visor at an angle to the seam above the door. Glue thin plastic into the round piece from the inside, "glazing" the windows. Place a pillow or basket with something soft on the top circle.

12. If desired, color the house, add a soft cloth inside and hang a bell over the door.

How to make a cat house out of a box and a T-shirt

What do you need

• Large box;
• scissors;
• large T-shirt;
• a few pins.

How to do

1. Cut the lid off the box. The author of the master class cut the box and turned it inside out so that the picture on the cardboard would not show through the T-shirt. But this is optional.

2. Take the T-shirt and pull it over the cardboard so that the neck is in the middle of the hole on the box.

3. Spread out the fabric. The sleeves of the T-shirt will hang on the sides. Tuck each one inside. See the video for a detailed process.

4. Gently fold the bottom of the shirt and fold the edges towards the middle. Secure the fabric with pins.

5. Place the house so that the hole is at the front. You can put a soft bedding inside.

How to make a cat house out of cardboard, t-shirts and hangers

What do you need

• Pliers;
• 2 thin wire hangers;
• cardboard from the box;
• adhesive tape;
• large T-shirt;
• a few pins.

How to do

1. Using a pair of pliers, cut off the tops of the hangers, backing slightly from the base of the hooks.

2. Using the tip of a hanger, poke a hole in the corners of a square piece of cardboard. Bend the wire into arcs. Pass it through one hole and bend the tip with pliers.

3. Secure it with adhesive tape.

4. Insert the remaining ends of the wire crosswise so that you get the structure shown in the picture.

5. For reliability, tape the intersection of the wires with adhesive tape.

6. Slip the T-shirt over the frame with the neckline at the front.

7. Place the house on its side, flatten the bottom of the fabric and secure it with pins.

8. Fold the sleeves to the bottom and secure them with pins as well. Place the house on a base and, if you like, lay something warm inside.

How to make cat huts from slats and fabric

What do you need

• 5 round wooden slats;
• rope;
• square piece of fabric;
• scissors;
• 1 pin;
• litter.

How to do

1. Fold the two slats together. Add one more criss-cross on top. Pass a rope under them.

2. Place the right end of the rope over the intersection of the poles. Then slide it under the two battens folded together.

3. Pull the same end of the rope under the resulting loop.

4. Place the rope under the two stitches folded together and pull it back under the same loop.

5. Tie both ends of the rope with a strong knot.

6. Place the structure on its legs.

7. Place another one between the two slats, wrap a rope around the intersection and tie tightly. Tie the last stick in the same way.

8. Cut one corner of the fabric in a semicircle. Wrap the material around the poles and secure with a pin at the top in front.

9. Unfold the fabric in front so that you can enter the hut. Place a mat inside.

How to make wooden cat houses

What do you need

• Plywood;
• jigsaw, saw or other sawing tool;
• glue "Moment";
• nails;
• hammer;
• screwdriver with a grinding attachment;
• brush;
• black paint;
• sandpaper;
• varnish on wood.

How to do

1. Glue low sides to a square piece of plywood on all sides.

2. Saw out two identical walls and two pentagonal pieces. Cut out the door on one of them. Glue the parts together to form the walls of the house. For safety, in some places, you can nail the tree with nails.

3. Turn the first structure upside down. Glue the wall to this base.

4. Make the base of the roof: on both sides, glue two long rectangles between the triangular shapes. If you put the house upright, these rectangles will be tilted.

5. Saw many small rectangular pieces out of the plywood. Lubricate the roof with glue and lay "shingles" of these pieces in rows on both sides. Cover the space between the two roof pieces in the middle.

6. File the edges of the tiles.

7. Saw out and glue these doors as shown in the photo. Place them on the sides of the inlet.

8. Attach two wooden strips glued together on the front of the "shingle".

9. Grind the roof into vertical notches.

10. Paint the roof with black paint. After drying, go over it with sandpaper. Cover the rest of the house with varnish.
