In an attempt to block Telegram, Roskomnadzor added millions of IP addresses to the blacklist. Because of this, sites that have nothing to do with Pavel Durov's messenger have become unavailable. The "Bypass Runet Blocks" extension helps you to ignore bans by automatically enabling proxies on blocked sites.

No additional configuration is required after adding to Chrome. The extension uses the Anti-Censorship PAC script, which detects blocking by domain name and IP address. The script can also be added to Firefox by setting it as a URL in the settings.

To do this, start Firefox. Go to preferences at about: preferences. On the General tab, scroll down to the Proxy section. Click Configure.

After setting up a proxy in Firefox, blocked sites will also open.

The extension is not meant to be anonymous, it only bypasses censorship. The provider will be able to see and store the sites that you have visited.

Other ways to bypass blocking are in the collection of Lifehacker.
