In second place is the Gemini Photos app, which allows you to quickly clean up your photo library by removing duplicate and blurry images. It is only available for iOS, but there are analogues for this on Android.

Closing the top three is the Stoop app, designed to optimize the search and reading of email newsletters.

Best device

The winner in the device category was the Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatch, which received the most positive reviews.

This accessory left behind the Cafe X mechanical coffee brewing arm as well as the DJI Osmo Pocket handheld gimbal camera.

Best Augmented Reality Project

Here, the winner was the Wanna Nails mobile application, which allows you to pick up nail polish through your smartphone's camera. The colors are superimposed in real time, allowing you to assess whether the selected shade is right for you even before painting.

Wanna Nails managed to outpace Shopify's AR, which showcases products using augmented reality, and the Magic Leap One headset, which came in third.

Best Side Project

The winner among the so-called side projects was a MacBook anti-theft app called MacBook Alarm. Following it is the Visa List service, which allows you to quickly find out which countries you can visit without a visa.

Best life hack

Here, the History Search service won out, allowing you to find articles, online documents, emails, or web pages that you've already accessed before. To search, it is enough to indicate something that you managed to remember: a phrase from the text, comments, or at least a topic.

The best smart home gadget

The winner of the smart home design was the Google Home Hub with a 7-inch touchscreen display. It allows you to interact with a branded voice assistant, use various services and control connected devices.

Bonus: WTF nomination

A separate Golden Kitty Awards nomination was awarded to strange projects that cause bewilderment. The first place in it was awarded to the application with the self-explanatory name Die With Me. This is an anonymous chat for those who have less than 5% battery charge on their smartphone or tablet.

Among other strange products, it was marked with a big red button. As conceived by the authors, anyone can buy the button by linking the link they need to it. It will remain active until someone offers a higher price and specifies a new address.
