When you've been exercising for long enough, the exercises start to seem too simple. If you recognize yourself at one of these points, then it's time for you to raise the bar.
1. You repeat the same exercises
Our body quickly adapts to physical activity, sometimes in as little as a week. When this happens, we expend less energy and burn fewer calories.
Solution
Create a balanced workout plan that includes aerobic exercise, strength exercise, and stretching. This will provide a variety of movements during one workout.
In addition, every week or at least a month, change something in your usual routine. For example, instead of a treadmill, use a stationary bike or try a new strength exercise.
2. You are chatting with a friend
Going to the gym with a friend is more fun, motivating and encouraging to try harder. But if during training you can easily maintain a conversation, then you are not exercising at full strength.
Solution
Save all the conversations for later. You should only be strong enough for a couple of short sentences at medium intensity, or a few words at high intensity.
3. You are watching TV
Of course, time passes faster this way, but you won't be able to focus on your workout, immersed in your favorite TV show. Accordingly, you will get less benefit.
Solution
During sports, do not be distracted by additional entertainment. If you cannot live without a TV, try to switch your attention to exercise every five minutes.
4. You don't sweat
If you didn't sweat at all, the workout was definitely too easy for you. Although everyone sweats differently, exercise should produce at least a small amount of sweat.
Solution
You should not be so zealous as to get injured, but the training should not take place at all without tension. Choose the pace and intensity that's right for you, and let sweat-wicking clothing justify its value.
5. You don't notice the result
After a workout that is too light, you will not feel a surge of vitality and motivation. Be honest with yourself. It is one thing to adapt a difficult exercise to your level, but don't allow yourself to always do it slipshod.
Solution
The right intensity training is when it is difficult, but not impossible. During it, you should have fun.
