It's never too late to start expanding your horizons and interests. Build up knowledge about what's important to you and never stop learning.
Take an interest in everything
To develop your mind, doubt everything. Of course, it is much easier to take information as it is than to figure it out and draw conclusions yourself, but this way you will not learn anything. So be interested in everyone and don't be afraid to ask questions.
Usually one question pulls another ten, and sometimes we even get intelligible answers to them. But the very process of asking questions develops our mind and helps to understand different points of view.
After all, each new question is an opportunity to look at the world in a new way.
Try new
You never know what might come in handy in the future. You can only draw conclusions and tie everything together by looking back. And for this you need to always be ready to try something new, so that later you have something to draw conclusions from.
You will never achieve something new if you do not push the boundaries of your capabilities and challenge yourself.
Try to deliberately give up a habit for a while. When in doubt, start small. Prepare something new for breakfast. Take a different route to work. Lie on the other side of the bed to sleep.
Listen to someone else's point of view
We subconsciously tend to seek and find information only about what we already know something about. It is a way to protect and strengthen your views and judgments.
Try to listen to those points of view that do not coincide with yours. Interested in other cultures and languages. Read about other areas of activity. Find out how people work in other areas.
You can learn a lot from helping others and even just reading about successful people.
Record your experience on paper
We absorb new information every day and even apply it in action. If we try to write down everything we have learned and what we have learned, we can generalize and structure the new knowledge and really understand it. The same thing happens when we explain information to others.
Plus, by writing down your experiences, you will expand your vocabulary, which is important for those who strive for success. Indeed, in any field of activity related to communication, it is very important to be able to correctly express your point of view.
Never Stop Learning
Self-study is one of the best ways to gain new knowledge. It doesn't matter where you sit - in a university lecture hall or in a coffee shop - as long as you are genuinely interested in what you are studying.
It is not at all necessary to spend several hours a day on training. Set aside some time for this and stick to your schedule.
Think about what you would like to know more about. Try to find as many sources as possible for new knowledge and ideas. Find blogs or online courses to help you broaden your horizons. Look for answers to your questions where others would not think.
Make a list of important questions
Write down 50 or at least 30 questions that are important to you. They can be absolutely anything, for example: “How can I become rich?”, “Does the Universe have an edge? If so, what is behind it? Just write down all the questions that come to your mind, everything that you would like to receive an answer to.
Then go through the resulting list and note which topics come up the most. Money, career, relationships or health? This will help you determine which areas of your life have priority for you right now.
Now pick the 10 questions that seem most important to you. There is no need to try to find the answer to them right now. It is enough that you have identified them and realized their importance.
Take action. Break the rules. Ask questions. Have fun. Love life. Move. Be creative. Just start doing something.
Genius is not so much good genes as your worldview, hard work, faith in yourself, focus and the ability to not give up.
