As part of the traditional Unpacked presentation, Samsung has announced the flagship smartphones Galaxy S10 and S10 +. They are similar in design, but differ in size and some characteristics.

Screen

Both models feature the latest Dynamic AMOLED HDR + displays with a maximum brightness of 800 nits. The size of the Galaxy S10 is 6.1 inches, while the Galaxy S10 + is 6.3 inches. The resolution in both cases was 3,040 × 1,440 pixels. The screens are protected from scratches and chips by Gorilla Glass 6. There is a similar coating on the back.

An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is hidden under the display of each model. Even a wet or dirty finger can be read without any problems. In the upper right corner of the matrix, there is a hole for a selfie camera, and in the Galaxy S10 + it is double, therefore the hole is wider.

Filling

Smartphones are equipped with a proprietary Exynos 9820 processor with a Mali-G76 MP12 graphics accelerator. Versions for some markets will receive Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chips with Adreno 640 GPU.

Regardless of the processor, both smartphones will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The Galaxy S10 + will also have a top-end version with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. She will receive a ceramic case.

Cameras

The main camera of smartphones is triple. It includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens for optical zoom, and a 16-megapixel module with a 123-degree capture angle. The first two sensors are complemented by optical stabilization.

There is a super slow motion video function with a frequency of 960 frames per second. In this case, the user can choose the moment of slowing down on an already shot video. In photo mode, AI can recognize 30 different environments and optimize settings.

The Galaxy S10 has a 10MP selfie camera with Dual Pixel focusing system. The Galaxy S10 + has a similar module, supplemented by an 8MP sensor for measuring depth of field and applying various effects.

Battery

The Galaxy S10 is equipped with a 3,400 mAh battery, and the Galaxy S10 + is equipped with a 4,100 mAh battery. Both have support for fast wired and wireless charging. The latter, by the way, is reversible, which allows you to power other compatible devices, simply by attaching them to the back of the smartphone.

Other

Both models received an IP68 waterproof and dustproof housing, AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, a standard 3.5 mm audio jack, and support for all modern communications, including Wi-Fi 802.11ax.

Devices based on Android 9.0 Pie work with One UI proprietary shell.

Galaxy S10 5G

Separately, a special version of the Galaxy S10 was presented with support for fifth generation (5G) networks. It's a giant with a 6, 7-inch Infinity-O display and a quartet of cameras on the back. The fourth sensor is a special module for shooting 3D images using the Video Live Focus and Quick Measure functions.

Also, this model received a more capacious battery of 4,500 mAh, supporting fast charging with a power of 25 watts.
