If you're not afraid to tinker with the dough, try making a homemade pizza base that can be stored in the freezer. You will forever forget about overdried and unleavened preparations from the supermarket.
In this case, the preparation technique itself is important. You can use any of your favorite pizza dough recipes as a base, or our universal yeast dough recipe.
After kneading, place the dough in heat for half an hour or wait until it doubles in volume.
Then roll or stretch the workpiece with your hands to the desired diameter and cover the surface with tomato sauce.
If you put the dough in the freezer raw, then you can immediately say goodbye to fluffy pizza, so before freezing, the base must be slightly baked: it is in this semi-finished form that blanks are sold in stores.
Place the dough and sauce in the oven for 8 minutes at 240 degrees. Then let the base cool completely (it will not take more than half an hour).
Wrap the pizza base well with cling film and place in the freezer. To prevent the dough from drying out, make sure it is covered tightly: at least two layers of plastic wrap.
You can put the filling on top of the crust right away, but since not all ingredients can tolerate freezing well, we recommend spreading them just before baking.
The base does not need to be thawed before placing it in the oven. It is enough to preheat the oven to the same 240 degrees and leave the pizza to bake for 10-15 minutes.
