How to backup old tweets

1. Open the web version of Twitter and click on your profile photo in the upper right corner.
2. From the drop-down menu, select Settings & Privacy.
3. In the subsection "Account", unroll the page to the very bottom and click "Request archive".

A link to the tweet archive will be emailed to you as soon as the file is ready to download. You cannot subsequently restore your Twitter posts using this archive. This backup is made for personal storage only.

How to delete old tweets

Typically, a user can only access 3,200 of their tweets - this is how much the service displays in the timeline. However, this does not mean that older records are no longer available to anyone. You can easily reach them through the search, the main thing is to know what to look for.

How to delete the last 3,200 tweets
