ASMR videos are wildly popular on the web. They rustle, crumple, pour, crunch, cut and even eat on camera. The life hacker figured out why these strange videos became hits.
More than 2.7 million posts have been posted on Instagram with the hashtag #asmr. Over 11.4 million videos have been uploaded to YouTube. Users come up with more and more new plots for ASMR videos, although there is generally no need to strain here.
One of the most popular YouTube videos, ASMR videos, have received over 19.5 million views. What does the author do in it? Whispers, fingering the teeth of a wooden comb, massaging temples, swinging, stroking the camera.
For almost two hours, someone is drying the rug with a hairdryer. Nearly 16.5 million views.
The video, where a lady in a body with an appetizing crunch eats pickles from a jar, gained about 9, 5 million views.
This pretty girl just makes some strange manipulations for half an hour.
And here is the “male” version of ASMR: a young man drinks beer, crunches nuts, talks in a whisper, demonstrates a nail puller and boots.
