Personal experience

For years, I justified my bad mood and sluggishness by saying that I was a night owl. Even realizing that it is incompatible with the university and work. Then I could not even dream of a free work schedule, but planned to get angry at the unfair world until old age.

Until a certain point, I was able to stay up late and get up early. I got along without sports. But the body's reserves did not last long.

When I was 25, I realized that I wanted to feel 20, not 30. The first thing I did was buy a gym membership. I couldn't walk regularly. A couple of times I even paid for a month of classes, and then I never showed up in the gym.

Sleep was even worse. Owls, you will understand me: even after a sleepless night, I was ready to sit again at the computer until late. Only the brain is not ready to work without sleep. The result is an evening of useless mouse clicks.

By that time, I had already realized that running is mine. But I managed to force myself to go jogging in the evening at most a couple of times a week: during the day you grow up to the chair and it's not easy to move. Therefore, I decided: since there is nothing to lose (a dull day was of little value), I'd better get up early, run my 5 kilometers, and then - come what may.

And suddenly it worked! After the morning jogging, I got strength to work. And most importantly, it became easier to fall asleep even early in the evening. Despite the free schedule, I get up at six in the morning. It turns out to run regularly, and the working spirit lasts longer.

I know people who manage to live according to an owl's schedule. But there are only a few of them. If you are unable to work out an optimal lifestyle at night, it is worth changing it with the help of morning workouts. You can always return to what is. But how many disgruntled larks do you know?
