Solutions for those who lack good tips, gifs, beautiful themes, and more.
1. Gboard
The official Google keyboard comes preinstalled on many smartphones. But if yours is the exception, it's definitely worth a try.
Gboard boasts a bunch of handy features. There are word suggestions and auto-corrections, easy cursor movement, themes, insertion of gifs and emoticons, Google translator and voice typing. Developers are constantly adding new features.
What's especially nice is that the keyboard is free.
2. SwiftKey
One of the best Google Play keyboards. No wonder its manufacturer was bought by Microsoft.
SwiftKey has a very simple and nice interface. The application is able to suggest words and correct mistakes, supports gestures and themes. You can change the size of the space the keyboard takes up on the screen.
SwiftKey allows you to manage your clipboard, provides access to stickers and calendar events. It adapts to your typing style and shows detailed statistics on how efficiently you are typing.
Keyboard settings sync across your devices.
3. Fleksy
Decent keyboard with auto-error correction and gesture controls. If you want to erase a word - slide your finger from right to left, insert a punctuation mark - from left to right. Quite convenient if you get used to it.
In the settings, you can find about 50 themes, from discreet to flashy-bright, and several extensions. The latter are installed on the panel above the keyboard and are used to control the clipboard, change the cursor position, insert templates, and even quickly launch applications.
Fleksy is free, but some themes cost money.
4.ai.type
Quite a popular keyboard with a huge number of functions. It suggests suitable words as you type, corrects mistakes and typos, allows you to add emoticons and pictures.
A particularly interesting feature is the automatically substituted correspondence templates that are collected from user messages. Sometimes funny pearls come across.
In ai.type, you can create layouts, there is a built-in theme store and a whole bunch of other things. It is not easy to understand this economy on the fly, and lovers of minimalism will be horrified by the keyboard.
Plus, the free version is overloaded with ads. Still, ai.type is worth a try.

5. GO Keyboard
The brainchild of the developers of the infamous GO Launcher. The keyboard resembles ai.type: the same abundance of features, skins and settings. The application contains more than 300 fonts, emoji, gifs and other decorations. Continuous input, clipboard management and autocorrection are also included.
GO Keyboard looks good and is quite handy, but annoying with requests to purchase the premium version, which has additional themes, animations, cartoon avatars created with the front camera and no ads.
6. Simple Keyboard
As the name suggests, this keyboard is simple. Even too much. It has a minimalistic Android-style design and only four themes (however, the user can assign a specific color to it).
There are no dictionaries, spell checkers, auto-corrections and other bells and whistles - just text input. Ideal for those who don't like it when the keyboard tries to be smarter than the owner.
Simple Keyboard is open source. This means you can use it to enter passwords and credit card information if you don't trust proprietary keyboards.
In addition, the application takes up very little space and will work even on old and low-powered smartphones.
7. Multiling O Keyboard
Another lightweight and fast keyboard. It weighs almost less than the Simple Keyboard, but it has much more features.
Multiling O Keyboard supports continuous two-handed typing, gestures, keyboard layout customization, and more. There is a calculator, emoji, cursor control, translator. That's just gifs and stickers weren't delivered, but many people can do just fine without them.
The parameters, sizes and behavior of the keyboard are highly configurable. Third-party themes, dictionaries and extensions can be downloaded as needed.
The keyboard is free and works lightning fast even on Android 2.1.
8. Chrooma Keyboard
Nice keyboard that looks like Gboard, but with an interesting difference. Its theme adjusts to the color of the application you are using, and Chrooma becomes a part of it. It looks pretty stylish.
All the necessary functions are present: continuous input, gestures, word prediction and autocorrection. Chrooma supports emojis and gifs. There is an "Incognito" mode for entering confidential data.
Basic keyboard features are available for free. The premium version adds customization of the layout of the keys, a mode for one-handed typing and a built-in translator.

9. TouchPal
This keyboard is almost 10 years old and continues to be actively updated. The application contains about 5,000 themes, 300 emoticons, many stickers and images.
There is a built-in search, as well as a handy tool for managing the clipboard and precisely moving the cursor. For fans of old school, there is a T9 dialing system.
In general, everything would be fine if it were not for the ads in the free version.

10. "Yandex. Keyboard"
Here you can find several topics, continuous input, a Yandex search bar, a quick insert button, auto-insertion of spaces and punctuation marks, a built-in dictionary and a translator. The keyboard allows you to add geotags, gifs and emojis.
The application is completely free and not overloaded with extraneous elements.
