6 driving cooperative zombie shooters

1. Dying Light

Action from the developers of Dead Island, combining survival in the infected city and parkour. For the first couple of hours, the gameplay seems a little slow and stringy, but as the character develops, he gains new movement abilities, becomes faster and more enduring. By the middle of the plot, the player is already masterfully climbing buildings, jumping over the dead and laying them down with a couple of blows with a machete.

Dying Light amazes with the amount of content and sophistication of the systems. Dozens of types of weapons, including firearms (you have to be more careful with them - zombies come running for shots), more than 50 quests, many skills, each of which affects the gameplay. And in the add-on there are also buggies that can be turned into real combat vehicles.

2. Left 4 Dead 2

Left 4 Dead 2 is a classic zombie shooter game. Four players make their way through the crowds of living corpses to the shelters. In this they are assisted by the "Director" system, which places enemies, weapons, grenades and first-aid kits on the way of the survivors, depending on their success.

Thanks to the "director", each playthrough is different from the previous one. You can be attacked by a horde of zombies immediately after leaving the shelter, forcing you to spend all the ammo. And in the end, you have to go through the rest of the level with nothing but axes and bats. Another time, a mountain of weapons may appear in the same place, but at the end of the location a huge boss will be waiting for you.

There are 13 campaigns available in the game, including those ported from the first part. And this is a few dozen hours spent with friends for the destruction of zombies.

3. Dead Space 3

The final part of the trilogy about the engineer Isaac, who has to save the world from an evil alien mind. Technically, there are no zombies in Dead Space, but there are necromorphs. In fact, these are the same revived dead, albeit slightly modified.

In the third part, the co-op first appeared - soldier John Carver joined Isaac. Together they travel between space stations and planets, trying to thwart the crazy fanatics who want alien domination over earthlings.

One of the main features of the game is the ability to create your own weapons with unique characteristics. For example, a triple-barreled plasma rifle, a freezing shotgun, or a powerful laser that can easily dismember enemies.

4. Resident Evil 6

By itself, the sixth installment of Resident Evil is a game of dubious quality. An indistinct, crumpled plot with characters whose motivation comes out of nowhere. And also secondary gameplay, which has not changed since Resident Evil 4, and pretentious and stupid dialogues.

But in a co-op, all these minuses turn into pluses. You and the other player feel like you're inside a trash movie. Laughing at the meaningless phrases of the heroes, fighting off dozens of different kinds of zombies, noticing hilarious plot inconsistencies is a special pleasure. But the moments of real madness are most valuable. For example, when a tank from the Second World War is chasing the heroes around the mansion.

5. Killing Floor 2

Combat in Killing Floor 2 is simple in structure. Several players (from 1 to 12) fight waves of zombies, receiving money for each kill, and in between they buy their own weapons. But the longer you play, the more the project is revealed. The characters have unique abilities and bonuses, and for each location, you can come up with several effective defense strategies.

Even if you manage to get bored of the existing content (which is unlikely - there are about a hundred types of weapons), then every few months the developers release thematic additions with new locations, guns, heroes and enemies.

6. Zombie Army Trilogy

Zombie Army Trilogy is a compilation of additions to the Sniper Elite series. The action takes place in an alternate reality where the Nazis turned into zombies due to their occult experiments. Over the course of three campaigns, four players will have to fight their way through the crowds of the living dead in order to fight the zombie Hitler himself at the end.

The fighters will have at their disposal classic weapons of the mid-20th century, including mines and grenades. The main feature of the Sniper Elite series - an X-ray camera showing the path of a bullet through the victim's body - is also in place. And there are also zombie snipers, dead men with chainsaws and flamethrowers.
