True Detective is one of the most exciting and talented TV series ever released. The first season, in which two Louisiana State Police detectives tried to solve a mysterious murder case, earned rave reviews from critics.
The main scene of the second season was California. Detectives from three cooperating police departments are investigating a series of crimes related to what they believe to be the murder of corrupt city manager Ben Kasper.

The second season was less successful than the first and did not receive any awards. The audience lacked both the Louisiana Gothic atmosphere from the first season and the catchy plot. But it's worth watching at least for the sake of a powerful acting team: Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn as a crime boss.

The fact is that, through Stephen's fault, the boy's father died on the surgical table. And now, one after another, misfortunes are falling on the doctor's family.
The essence of what is happening is hinted at by the title of the picture, which refers to an ancient Greek myth. When King Agamemnon accidentally killed a deer belonging to Artemis, the offended goddess demanded to sacrifice the royal daughter.
In "Killing a Sacred Deer" you can find all the characteristic features of the director's handwriting Lanthimos: an absurd atmosphere, aloof acting, elaborate dialogues. In addition to the brilliant Farrell, Nicole Kidman's play can be noted. Together in the same year they played in another major project - "The Fatal Temptation" by Sofia Coppola.
Also, the picture was adorned with his work by the young Irish actor Barry Keoghan, known for his strong dramatic role in the film by Christopher Nolan "Dunkirk". And not so long ago, Barry appeared in a major HBO project - the series "Chernobyl".

This leads to the fact that love passions unfold in the boarding house: after all, the handsome John has sunk into the heart of almost every woman living in the house who is hungry for male attention.
Oscar winner Sofia Coppola set out to reshoot the 1971 film Deceived from a woman's perspective. This is not to say what she did: the remake differs from the original only visually, but not ideologically. And the reason to watch it is rather wonderful actors. In addition to Kidman and Farrell, the film stars such stars as Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning.
