Perfect classic and unusual fluffy bows made of ribbons and wrapping paper.
How to tie a classic bow
What do you need
- Ribbon;
- scissors;
- double-sided tape or glue gun.
How to make a bow
Place the left side of the tape over the right side to form a loop.
Do the same on the left side.
Slip the right stitch over the left stitch.
Pull the loop, now at the top, into the hole at the bottom.
Pull the loops out to the sides, forming a knot.
Flip the bow so that both loops are on top and the ends are on the bottom. While holding the knot, pull on the right end of the tape. The left loop will become smaller and tidier.
Pull the left end of the tape in the same way.
Now pull both hinges slightly at the same time. The knot will be stronger. Flatten the resulting bow.
Fold one end of the tape in half lengthwise. Trim the knot at an angle a few centimeters from the knot. The scissors should be facing the bow.
Cut the other end of the tape in the same way. Glue the bow on the gift.

And if you make another one of the same on top, the packaging will look even more original:
How to tie a double bow on your fingers
What do you need
- Ribbon;
- scissors.
How to make a bow
Spread your index and middle fingers. Place the tape on top and wrap it around them.
Wrap your fingers again with the long right end.
Pull the same part between the fingers under the hinges.
Place the tape from top to bottom over your arm. Pass its tip through the bottom loop.
Pull out the tape and tighten the knot. After that, the formed bow will be visible.
Take it off your fingers. The front will be at the back, so turn the bow towards you. Straighten the eyelets.
Trim the ends straight or as in the previous method.
What other options are there
In this master class, the bow is tied a little differently:
How to make a bow with a stapler
What do you need
- Ribbon;
- stapler;
- scissors;
- double sided tape.
How to make a bow
Take the tape and bend one edge in your direction a few centimeters.
Fold the tape up to about the middle of the folded part.
Holding the tape in this place, lift and twist it so that you get a loop at the bottom. If you are at a loss, watch the video tutorial below.
From the free end of the tape, make another loop at the bottom. To do this, throw the tape over the bottom to the top. Hold the bow in the middle.
Make a few more loops in the same way on different sides.
Staple the bow in the center with a stapler.
Cut off the excess end of the tape. Roll it up and secure with a stapler.
Glue the piece to the center of the bow, hiding the staples.
How to make a fluffy bow
What do you need
- Wide tape;
- scissors;
- narrow tape;
- double-sided tape is optional.
How to make a bow
Fold the end of the wide ribbon over to form a loop. Details can be seen in the photo and video below.
Holding the tip of the tape, turn it so that it is not in the middle, but at the top edge.
Wrap the loop with tape 5-6 more times. The more, the more magnificent the bow will be. Cut off excess.
Fold the tape in half. Cut it along the edges at the fold.
Cut a piece of thin tape, place it on the table and place the folded wide tape on top. Stretch a thin one into the slits and tie in a double knot.
While holding the tape in the center, pull the inner loop to the side. Unscrew it slightly to the opposite side of you.
Repeat the same with the next loop, pulling it out to the other side.
Keep pulling out the rest.
Flip the bow over and trim the ribbon. The bow can be glued to a gift or tied with a thin ribbon to a wide ribbon wrapped around the box.
What other options are there
In this master class, the middle of the tape is cut a little differently, and it is also tied with a wire, and not with a thin ribbon:
Loops are formed differently here. The tape is wrapped around the fingers, making a figure like an eight. Then the loops are pulled out in the same way:
And this bow is made with a plastic tie:
How to make a voluminous bow from individual strips
What do you need
- Wrapping paper or tape (about 3 cm wide);
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil - optional;
- glue gun;
- cardboard.
How to make a bow
Cut the paper or tape into strips. You will need four pieces 28 cm long, four 23 cm long, one 9 cm wide. The width should be 3 cm. You can cut the strips in different sizes, but try to keep the proportions.
Take one long strip and glue the edges together to form a ring.
Fold the piece in half so that the seam is opposite the fold. Apply glue to the fold. Place this over the seam and glue. You will get an "eight".
Make the same details from the rest of the long strips.
Cut a small circle out of the cardboard. Apply glue to its center and attach one big "eight".
Glue the second part of the same type perpendicular to it.
Glue the third on top, and then the fourth. Arrange them so that the new loops are between the previous ones.
Glue four smaller eights in the same way. Each of them should be parallel to one of the larger parts. The video below shows the entire process in detail.
Glue the last small strip into a ring and attach to the middle of the bow. Glue the finished decoration to the gift.
How to make a bulky angular bow
What do you need
- Wrapping paper or tape (about 2 cm wide);
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil - optional;
- double sided tape.
How to make a bow
Cut the paper or tape into strips. You will need three pieces 20 cm long, three 15 cm long, one 7-8 cm long. The width should be about 2 cm. Other sizes can be used, but try to keep the proportions.
Glue a piece of tape from the back to the edge of one long strip. Fold the edge as shown in the photo.
Then glue the edge to the front of the strip. You will end up with something like a cone.
Repeat this on the other side of the strip. In this way, glue the other five long pieces. The shortest will be needed later.
Glue large pieces on top of each other so that all corners are facing in different directions.
Glue the other three parts on top. The corners of each new strip should be located between the corners of the lower parts.
Glue the edges of the short strip and glue the resulting ring into the middle of the bow. Attach a bow to the gift.
