Plogging is gaining popularity in the world - a hybrid of a healthy lifestyle and environmental care.
Plogging was born in Sweden. This term, referring to the process of collecting garbage while jogging, was formed from the merger of two words: Swedish plocka ("to lift", "pluck") and English jogging ("jogging"). The new hobby is called "hygge for those who lead an active lifestyle." Residents of several European countries have already joined him.
What do you need to do plogging?
- Bring a sturdy trash bag with you on your run.
- Put the plastic debris found along the way into it.
- Take a picture of the booty and post it with the hashtag #plogging on social media to attract as many people as possible to the movement.
Plogging helps to kill two birds with one stone. Jogging turns into an ecological action that helps to make the surrounding space cleaner. Plus, the runner's calorie consumption increases: in order to pick up garbage, you need to bend over or sit down.

The new fitness trend was supported by activists of Plastic Patrol - a large-scale campaign to rid the oceans of plastic pollution.
Anything that has a positive effect on the environment is good. I am glad that there has been a real shift in social thinking. People began to realize how catastrophic plastic pollution can be.

I've been collecting trash on my runs for years. Today, I found out there’s a name for it (from Sweden), "Plogging"! ❤️ _ Let’s do this together! Collect at least 1 bag of trash from a public place, snap a selfie, tag 3 people and challenge them to do the same. Similar to the Ice Bucket Challenge. #plogging #cleanup #randomactsofkindness #bethegood #inspiration #letsdothis

T for @tyrens_ab! Today we had our first plogging! In a 45 minutes long run around Stockholm we managed to collect 17, 5kg = 38, 6 pounds of trash laying around on the ground and in the water ?? Humans consume so much of the earth's resources that Earth Overshoot Day happened 2nd of August this year‼ ️ That means that we are living on borrowed resources from the upcoming year and from the generations to come after us ??? We can not afford to just consume like obsessed and then carelessly throw away plastic, glass, metal and paper wherever we see fit. We have to recycle the material if there is going to be anything left for our future grandkids. Best of all is to generate less trash by simply just consume less. We all have to do more for our beautiful Mother Nature ??????? @ plogga #plogging #trash #sustainability #movethedate #stopactingdumb #pickupyourtrash #running #workout #dogoodwork #mothernature
