This simple extension will help you clean up your open tabs without touching your mouse at all.
If you have many tabs constantly open in your browser, then you need to periodically put them in order. For example, you can sort them in a panel by domain or by topic. This can be done using the Rearrange Tab extension, which adds keyboard shortcuts to the browser to move tabs to the left and right.
After installing the extension, there is no need to configure anything. Just press Ctrl + Shift + → on macOS or Shift + Alt + → on Windows to move the tab to the right. The same keys, but with the left arrow, will force the tab to move one position to the left.
If you do not like this key combination or it is already taken, then this can be fixed in the browser settings. Open the page with the list of installed extensions, scroll to the bottom and click the "Shortcuts" link.
Please note that if you select several tabs at once with the Ctrl key pressed, then all of them can be moved at the same time.
You can download Rearrange Tab for free from the Chrome Web Store.
