Infinity New Tab for Chrome turns a new tab into a desktop

This plugin will offer you a new user-friendly interface to be productive with browser capabilities.

With Infinity New Tab, you can add shortcuts to the New Tab area for quick access to selected sites, plug-in apps and some sections of Chrome.

The result is similar to the Android desktop. As with this mobile OS, you can completely change the appearance of the labels, as well as the overall design of the interface. Infinity New Tab even has a search bar widget that appears on the home screens of Android devices.

Working with the interface

Most of the shortcuts are just links to external sites. Clicking on this icon opens the associated URL in an adjacent tab.

But the applications built into the plugin, the shortcuts of which can also be brought to the screen, are launched in the special sidebar Infinity New Tab. In it, you can use a note-book, a task manager, a weather informer and other programs integrated into the plug-in without leaving the current tab.

Shortcuts for such sections of the browser as "Bookmarks", "History" and "Download List" work in a similar way. Access to these elements of Chrome also opens in the sidebar, in the ergonomic interface Infinity New Tab.

Customizing shortcuts

You can choose ready-made shortcuts for applications and popular sites from the Infinity New Tab catalog, or create and design your own.

If you click on the plus button, a sidebar with a directory appears on the screen. It is enough to click on any shortcut available in it, as it will be displayed in a new tab. And the button "Own" on the same panel is used to create new shortcuts.

Extra options

In the Infinity New Tab settings section, there are options for backing up and syncing shortcuts between different computers. This way, even if you reinstall the operating system or change the device, your plugin settings and personal collection of shortcuts will remain in your personal account.

You can also change the settings for notifications, search bar (use Google, Bing, or another system), opening links (in a new or current tab), and other settings.

The design possibilities deserve special attention. Infinity New Tab allows you to change the background of the working tab, font color, shape, size, relative position and number of shortcuts.

Infinity New Tab is well placed to improve your Google Chrome browser experience. The only complaint about the extension that arose during the writing of the review is the problems with the localization of the interface. So, in some Russian-language inscriptions there are misprints.
