1. Am I focused correctly?
Sometimes tasks fall on your head one after another. Think you can accomplish more if you work harder? No. Productivity starts with planning and prioritization. Before grabbing onto anything and driving yourself into a state of stress, ask yourself, "Does this task really require my attention?"
2. Am I positive thinking?
Which side of your life are you focused on: what you have or what you lack? "Both!" - you will say right off the bat. But listen to yourself carefully and answer honestly, which thoughts are more in your head: negative or positive?
You can't get hung up on what you don't have. Our brain is like a radio: if you tune it to the “Everything is bad” wave, it will be so. If you choose something more optimistic, then positive changes will not be long in coming. Thoughts generate energy.
Try to be grateful for what you have. Appreciating what you have is essential to success.
3. How do I feel about difficulties?
Even if you think in a hyper-positive way, you will have problems. It's unavoidable. As the saying goes, shit happens. It is always impossible to control everything. Just accept this fact and think about how you perceive difficulties.
- When something destructive happens in life (illness, dismissal, accident, divorce), is it the end of the world for you or the beginning of a new segment of life?
- If you have an opponent, do you take it as a personal insult or as a chance to get better?
- Faced with a big problem, you grab your head and exclaim "Well, for what ?!" or see the obstacle as a springboard to new heights?
You understood correctly: difficulties must be viewed from the standpoint of possibilities.
At the same time, it makes no sense to nag yourself for already missed chances. For example, your father gave you a large sum of money and said, "Use it wisely, son." Instead of investing it in a business, you bought a car and soon crashed it. You can scold yourself as much as you want - it will not help. This is in the past. Draw conclusions and go forward.
The past is the foundation of the present. It is worth analyzing, understanding what was right and what was wrong, and letting go. You can't even imagine how quickly and radically such a paradigm of thinking changes life.
4. What do I do to progress?
It doesn't matter what your IQ is or how many degrees you have - intelligence and knowledge are useless without action. Take real steps!
It is better to follow a good plan today than an excellent plan sometime in an abstract tomorrow. Truly successful people don't wait for the right moment. If an idea is born, they try to implement it right there, because waiting for the perfect X hour is nothing but fear. Did not work out? OK. I analyzed it, made conclusions - and move on. Life happens here and now, and you need to act the same way.
5. What tools help me achieve success?
Do you dream of losing weight, but because of fatigue you keep putting off training and the transition to a healthy diet? You will not lose weight. Do you want to take your business to the next level, but instead of strategically important tasks, you are doing routine things? You will not earn more.
Very little in life happens by itself. Most changes take effort. And so that the work is not in vain, you need to avoid momentary impulses and constantly remind yourself of the goal. For example, if you are in financial trouble, write the amount owed on a sticker and glue it to your monitor. Whenever you want to buy another trinket on the Internet, look at this piece of paper - it will keep you from impulsive spending.
