What are the postscripts and where do they come from

Sometimes the information on your medical record may not correspond to reality. Let's say you haven't gone to a polyclinic for a year, but according to your documents, you managed to undergo a medical examination, got vaccinated, and twice more went to the doctor with some incomprehensible diseases. This can sometimes be the result of a mistake. But, perhaps, you are faced with postscripts that are made on purpose.

With their help, two birds with one stone are killed at once in clinics. Firstly, this is how the plan for the number of admitted patients, services rendered, and medical examinations is carried out. The administration receives financial bonuses for this, and the doctors themselves are not deprived of incentive allowances. Secondly, it allows the medical institution to receive money for the services not provided from the territorial health insurance fund.

Why postscripts are bad

Perhaps your first impulse is to be indignant: “Doctors have low salaries as they are, they are doing the best they can”. But small earnings are not only a problem in the medical field, and thus it cannot be solved. It's like sweeping the litter under the rug instead of cleaning it up.

Failure to comply with laws and regulations is one of the causes of corruption and what is called the “bad life”. Sellers pay off the weight of buyers, officials take bribes, builders sell cement to the left, doctors attribute diseases - these are violations of the same order, and the consequences for them can be very serious.

It makes your treatment difficult

Now information is recorded and transmitted electronically. This means your digital health card is following you. If you get sick with something, the doctor will get a distorted picture of your condition. Or, for example, you will not be given a vital vaccine because you allegedly already have it.

It deprives you of some rights

Let's say you decided to undergo a medical examination, but you cannot, because according to the documents you have already done it.

It may hinder you in the future

Some positions require good health, or at least not have any specific diseases. Although your ailments should remain a medical secret, the security service can still gain access to them. And you risk not getting your dream job because someone came up with a diagnosis for you.

How to detect postscripts

Subscriptions are not always recorded on paper maps. As a rule, this occurs at the stage of billing the territorial compulsory health insurance fund (TFOMI). Therefore, you need to get data directly from it. In some regions, this can be done on the TFOMS website, although it is not always obvious what exactly you need to press for this.

To enter your personal account, you need to log in using your login and password from "Gosuslug". Or you can follow a simple path and immediately get all the information on this portal.

1. Log in to the site, select the "Services" button, and then "My health".

You will immediately have access to the column "Information about the provided medical care". These are data from the Ministry of Health, they may be incomplete, so you will need to scroll a little below. However, already here you can find non-existent surveys.

2. Scroll down to the "Popular services" section and click on "Information about the provided medical services and their cost." This information is provided by the TFOMI. Then click on the "Get the service" button.

3. Enter your personal data, policy number and the period for which you want to receive a statement. Information is available for the period from September 9, 2016. Information will be sent to your personal account on "Gosuslugi" within 24 hours from the date of application.

What to do if you find postscripts

To understand the situation, write to TFOMS. You can find the contacts on the website of the foundation in your region. The application is made in free form. You just need to send it by e-mail. Do not forget to include your phone number so that you can be contacted and reported on the work done.

If the violation is confirmed, the assigned data will be removed from your medical record, the money for the services not provided will be returned to the TFOMS. Perhaps the doctor will be punished financially or with a reprimand, and you simply roll everything back to its original state.
