The 90/90/1 Rule will help you complete a big deal
The 90/90/1 Rule will help you complete a big deal

This simple rule was invented by Robin Sharma, a leadership consultant and founder of Sharma Leadership International, a consulting firm.

The essence of the method is as follows: for 90 days, you devote the first 90 minutes of the working day to the most important project - and nothing else. A dissertation, tailoring your own clothing collection, creating a high-quality portfolio is what is important for you.

This rule is not designed for projects that you can do all your time. However, it is also suitable for work. The morning hours for many people are the most productive: you sleep well, have breakfast, get some fresh air - your brain is ready to go. Therefore, it will be useful to devote this time to important work, and not to things like checking mail and procrastinating, in any case. In addition, this principle will allow you to prevent other people's instructions from stealing time from your project.

This rule hits three main problems of time management at once: it is simple, effective and affordable - after all, it only takes an hour and a half of your time to comply with it.

If you still don't have enough time, you can always try the shorter version - 45/45/1.

Sharma proposes to reserve this time in the morning of each day: in the work calendar and in the mind. But if this is not possible, you can choose a time and place during the day and work at an office desk or in a cafe during lunch - it will still bring you closer to victory.

One last thing: Before you get to work, sign out of your email account, turn off your phone, and stop multitasking for the next 90 minutes. An hour and a half is too little, you can't let procrastination steal that time from your dreams. Nothing should distract you.
