6 legal ways to make money on your own body
6 legal ways to make money on your own body

1. Blood donation

Not the most profitable, but very useful option. Donated blood helps save lives. So it is not necessary to wear a cloak and a mask for the sake of heroic deeds - just roll up your sleeve.

How much can you earn

Blood can be donated free of charge or for money. The state is ready to approve cases in which it is possible to donate blood and (or) its components for a fee, as well as the amount of such a fee to pay for donation in one of these cases:

  • You have a rare blood phenotype from previous donations.
  • You don't have certain red blood cell antigens in your blood.
  • You can be allowed to donate plasma, platelets, erythrocytes, leukocytes by apheresis.

In the first two cases, you will be paid 8% of the living wage of the working-age population in the region - about 930 rubles. For donation by apheresis method, you can get from 15 to 45% - this is about 1, 8–5, 2 thousand.

Paid donation is not very welcome, as it can attract unwanted people who, for the sake of profit, will hide their true state of health. In addition, such a vital component as blood should not become a commodity. Therefore, if you rent it out for money, you are not entitled to any benefits or compensation. If you are not applying for payment, then you can count on some advantages.

Lunch or compensation

In order to recuperate after donating blood, the donor is given lunch at the expense of the institution. In some cases, when the procedure is carried out in mobile complexes or upon a written application from the donor, it is replaced with a payment of at least 5% of the subsistence minimum of the working-age population in the region.

In addition, the entity can establish additional compensation for donors, but because of the underfunding of the budget, this is not done everywhere. In Moscow it is 4,080 rubles for donating 450 ml of blood, 3,600 rubles for 600 ml of plasma, 5,670 rubles for donating platelets, 6,000 for erythrocytes. Additional compensation in St. Petersburg is 544 rubles. In the Sverdlovsk Region, they are ready to pay 2,000 donors who donated blood or its components three times during the year.

Weekends

The donor is released from work on the day of blood donation and is entitled to an additional day of rest. By agreement with the employer, this weekend can be postponed or added to the vacation.

For days of rest, the average salary is calculated - as for vacation pay. So you get, albeit indirect, but income.

Annual payments

Honorary donors can qualify for an annual payment from the state. In 2019, its size is 14 145.98 rubles.

To become an honorary donor, you need to follow one of the following scenarios and donate:

  • blood 40 times;
  • plasma 60 times;
  • blood from 25 times and "finish off" donation up to 40 times with plasma;
  • blood up to 25 times, but then the plasma will have to get the total number of deals up to 60 times.

How to become a donor

An adult weighing more than 50 kilograms can donate blood without chronic and infectious diseases. There are also time limits for donation. Among them:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding - you must wait a year after giving birth or 3 months after the end of lactation.
  • Menstruation - 5 days.
  • Tooth extraction - 10 days.
  • Tattooing, piercing or acupuncture treatment - 1 year.
  • Angina, flu, ARVI - 1 month after recovery.
  • Vaccinations - depends on the species.
  • Drinking alcohol - 48 hours.

To donate blood, you need to contact a local transfusion station or take part in a donor campaign.

2. Sperm donation

Donor ejaculate is used to overcome infertility. This can be artificial insemination, when the material is injected directly into the uterus, or in vitro fertilization (IVF) of the egg.

This is done if a woman does not have a sexual partner, he has hereditary diseases, there are no sperm in the semen, or the use of his ejaculate was ineffective in IVF.

How much can you earn

Unlike blood donation, the state has not determined the amount of remuneration here. Therefore, each sperm bank has the right to set its own rate.

On average, we are talking about an amount of about 3-5 thousand rubles per ejaculation. It is paid in two stages: part immediately after the sperm donation, part - after a six-month quarantine period. It is necessary to comprehensively check the seed material, since various diseases, including hepatitis and AIDS, are transmitted with it.

You can donate sperm two to four times a month.

How to become a donor

By law, a physically and mentally healthy man between the ages of 18 and 35 can donate sperm. Before that, you need to undergo an examination.

The quality of the donor material has its own requirements. They may differ from institution to institution.

  • The volume of ejaculate is usually at least 1 ml.
  • The concentration of sperm in 1 ml of material is 60 million.
  • Sperm survival after thawing is at least 50%.

The last point is important, since the sperm is stored frozen and will lose value if all the sperm in it die.

First, the institution takes the first sample of the material for testing (usually free of charge) and decides whether a man can become a donor. If so, a contract is signed with him.

3. Egg donation

Donor eggs, or oocytes, are also used to help childless people give birth to a baby using IVF. Among the indications for this method is the woman's absence of her own eggs or unsuccessful attempts to conduct an IVF program using her oocytes.

How much can you earn

As with sperm, the fee is set by the clinic. But oocytes are usually more expensive because the procedure is more complicated.

To get more germ cells during one cycle, the woman is prescribed a course of hormonal drugs. After maturation, the oocytes are removed by puncture. If the genetic material meets the requirements, you can get an average of 50 to 80 thousand rubles for one egg donation.

The donation of oocytes is allowed no more than once every three months.

How to become a donor

A physically and mentally healthy woman aged 18 to 35 can donate eggs. Having your own children is encouraged.

Before donation, you must undergo a medical examination. Sometimes clinics offer to do this at their own expense.

4. Surrogacy

This is a rather controversial phenomenon that has raised a lot of ethical questions. So just consider surrogacy from a legal point of view.

How much can you earn

A contract is concluded between the surrogate mother and potential parents, which spells out the obligations. How much a woman's services will cost is also a subject of discussion. Much depends on the parents' ability to pay: the remuneration can range from several hundred thousand rubles to several million.

How to become a surrogate mother

By law, this can be done by women aged 20 to 35 years old who have at least one healthy child of their own. It is necessary to obtain a medical report on the state of health. If the woman is married, the consent of her spouse will be required.

5. Selling hair

Curls are used to make wigs, hairpieces, hairpins, as well as for extensions.

How much can you earn

The price is influenced by:

  • Hair length. Usually the minimum is 40-50 centimeters.
  • Colour. Light-colored ones are more expensive, as they are less common. Painted is much cheaper than unpainted. Gray hair is also not in favor.
  • Structure. Smooth and thin are more expensive.
  • Well-groomed. Silky ones are valued higher, split ends - lower.

Points will also be added to you if you cut the curls on the eve of the sale and exactly as the buyer needs. On average, you can earn about 4 thousand rubles per 100 grams of hair. If you have a unique head of hair, your income will multiply.

How to sell hair

You can find out if there is a demand in nearby hairdressers and beauty salons. But it's easier to look for a buyer via the Internet. You will have to do a lot of research work in order to find someone who will offer more, and not fall for the tricks of scammers. To do this, feel free to ask questions, read reviews and use word of mouth.

6. Participation in clinical trials

Drugs must be tested in humans before being placed on the market. It is legal if the person agrees to it and is warned of the possible consequences.

In some cases, people with serious illnesses are invited as volunteers. For them, this is a chance to change the course of the disease with a new drug, which in itself becomes a reward. But there are also studies that are willing to pay for participation. For example, if the effect of the original drug is compared with a generic one.

Research participation is a risk. You should not take it as a source of easy and safe income.

How much can you earn

The amount of remuneration depends on the institution and the drug being investigated. For example, some companies offer from 10 to 45 thousand rubles.

How to become a volunteer

Explore the websites of clinical research centers near you. There you can find advertisements for the search for volunteers, which indicate all the requirements for them.
