1. Snack "Cheese Snowman"
Ingredients
- 800 g cream cheese;
- 450 g grated cheddar cheese;
- 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
- ¼ small onions;
- ¼ teaspoon of mustard;
- 1 pinch of paprika;
- 2 tablespoons of milk;
- 1 cucumber or 1 boiled beet;
- a few olives or capers;
- 1 small piece of carrot;
- a few feathers of green onions;
- 1 pack of crackers.
Preparation
Combine 700g cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Divide the cheese mixture into three equal portions. Then combine the two, add the pesto and stir. Add chopped onion, mustard and paprika to the rest of the cheese mixture and stir. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for 4 hours.
When the cheese mixture is harder, shape it into a large and small ball. Wrap them in plastic wrap and place them in the freezer. Such balloons can be made even a month before the holiday itself!
Transfer the balls from the freezer to the refrigerator 12 hours before serving. Just before serving, place the large cheese ball on a platter and place the snowman's head on top - a small ball.
Whisk together 100 g of cream cheese and milk and brush over the snowman mixture. Make a scarf with a few thin cucumber or beetroot strips. Use slices of olives or capers to make buttons and eyes. Form the nose from the carrots, and the mouth and hands from the onion. Serve the snack with crackers.
2. Salad with crab sticks "Christmas wreath"
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons of rice;
- 250 g crab sticks;
- 1 sweet and sour apple;
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tomatoes;
- 50 g of grated hard cheese;
- 4 tablespoons canned corn
- salt to taste;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- 100 g mayonnaise;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 1 bunch of green onions.
Preparation
Boil rice in salted water. Drain the water, rinse the rice and cool.
Cut the crab sticks into small cubes, leaving five sticks to decorate the wreath. Peel the apple, core and cut into small cubes. Sprinkle the apple with lemon juice to keep it from browning. Cut one tomato in half and leave half to decorate. Cut 1, 5 tomatoes into cubes.
Combine cooled rice, crab sticks, apple, tomatoes, grated cheese, 3 tablespoons of corn, salt, pepper and mayonnaise. Spoon the salad onto a serving platter to form a Christmas wreath. To make a hole in the middle, place a small jar in the center of the dish and spread the salad around it.
Stick whole crab sticks into the wreath. Cut the lights out of half of the tomato and insert them into the candles. Chop half a bunch of dill and a bunch of onions. Sprinkle chopped herbs over the salad and top with whole sprigs of dill. Garnish with the leftover corn.
3. Christmas trees from mashed potatoes
Ingredients
- 900 g potatoes;
- 120 g butter;
- salt to taste;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- 1 large egg;
- 2 large yellow peppers or 150 g of hard cheese.
Preparation
Peel the potatoes, cut them into large cubes and boil them for mashed potatoes. Drain the water from the potatoes, add room temperature oil, salt and pepper. Stir well and let sit for 10-15 minutes. When the puree has cooled slightly, beat in an egg and mix well again. To make green Christmas trees, you can add a little pesto sauce.
Transfer the puree to a piping bag with a star attachment. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the herringbone-shaped puree on top of it.
Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 15–20 minutes, until the trees are browned. Garnish with stars cut from peppers or cheese and serve hot.
4. Salad with champignons "New Year's gift"
Ingredients
- 250 g champignons;
- 1 onion;
- some vegetable oil;
- salt to taste;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- 300 g smoked chicken breast;
- 1 bell pepper;
- 2 pickles;
- 2 carrots;
- 5 eggs;
- 300 g mayonnaise;
- 1 beet;
- 1/2 bunch of parsley.
Preparation
Fry chopped mushrooms and chopped onions in vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Dice the smoked breast, bell peppers and cucumbers. Boil eggs and carrots until tender and grate them, leaving one carrot to decorate.
On a serving dish, place the ingredients in a square in this order: chicken, cucumbers, carrots, eggs, mushrooms and onions, peppers. Coat each layer with mayonnaise. Cover the salad with it on the top and sides.
Cut four long, thin strips from the remaining boiled carrots. Place them on the salad as shown in the photo. Boil the beets, peel, cut into thin slices, form a rose out of them and place it in the center of the “gift”.
Decorate the salad with parsley leaves and refrigerate for a few hours.
5. Canapes "Christmas socks"
Ingredients
- 5 sausages;
- some cream cheese;
- several sprigs of parsley - optional;
- a small piece of red bell pepper - optional.
Preparation
Cook the sausages: they are enough for 10 canapes. Cut the sausages in half. Then cut each half in half again, but at an acute angle.
Attach slices of sausage with a cut to each other and secure with skewers.
Use a pastry syringe or bag to decorate the edges of the socks with cream cheese. If desired, secure a small sprig of parsley and a tiny piece of red pepper in the middle.
6. Prune salad "New Year tree"
Ingredients
- 200 g of prunes;
- 2 beets;
- salt to taste;
- 200 g of grated hard cheese;
- 4 eggs;
- 250 g mayonnaise;
- 1 bunch of dill;
- 1 slice of red bell pepper;
- a few grains of pomegranate.
Preparation
This salad is laid out in layers in the shape of a herringbone. Each layer must be greased with mayonnaise.
Cut the prunes into small pieces and place in a circle on a serving platter. Boil the beets, grate, put on prunes and salt. The next layer is grated cheese. Then add the grated boiled eggs and salt a little.
Lubricate the resulting Christmas tree with mayonnaise. Cover with dill sprigs from top to bottom, decorate with a star carved from red pepper and pomegranate seeds. By the way, canned corn can be used instead of pomegranate seeds.
7. New Year's sandwiches
Ingredients
- 12 slices of bread;
- 200 g cream cheese;
- ½ bunch of green onions;
- 1 red bell pepper;
- 1 large cucumber.
Preparation
To make these sandwiches, you will need large and small star metal cookie cutters. If you can cut two large stars out of a slice of bread, then from the specified amount of bread you will get 12 sandwiches. Therefore, adjust the amount of ingredients depending on the size of the molds.
Toast the bread slices lightly to brown. Cut big stars out of them. Spread cream cheese on half. And in the other half, cut out small stars in the middle.
Sprinkle one third of the greased sandwiches with chopped onions, the second with chopped bell pepper, and cover the third with thin strips of cucumber. Put the prepared stars with the cut out middle on top.
By the way, you can choose the filling for the sandwiches to your taste. This can be thin slices of sausage, fried bacon slices, tomatoes, and other ingredients.
8. New Year's brownie
Ingredients
For brownie:
- 180 g butter;
- 120 g unsweetened chocolate;
- 3 large eggs;
- 400 g sugar;
- ¼ teaspoon of salt;
- vanillin - on the tip of a knife;
- 120 g flour;
- some vegetable oil.

For glaze:
- 500 g icing sugar;
- 60 g butter;
- 4 tablespoons of milk;
- vanillin - on the tip of a knife;
- green food coloring.
Preparation
Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave. Stir until smooth and leave to cool.
In a separate bowl, beat eggs, sugar and salt. Add vanillin and chocolate mixture. Gradually add flour, mixing the dough thoroughly.
Line a baking dish about 30 × 20 cm with foil and brush with vegetable oil. Put the dough in a mold and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 25-30 minutes.
While the brownie is cooling, combine the icing sugar, butter, milk and vanillin and beat with a mixer until smooth. Use food coloring to color the frosting green.
Cut a Christmas tree out of the cake, spread the glaze over it and decorate with sweets.
9. Snow Wreath Cupcake
Ingredients
For the cupcake:
- some vegetable oil;
- 370 g flour;
- 100 g cocoa;
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt;
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda;
- 240 ml sour cream;
- vanillin - on the tip of a knife;
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 250 g butter;
- 400 g sugar;
- 2 large eggs;
- 240 ml of milk.
For decoration:
- 1 orange;
- 200 g sugar;
- a few sprigs of rosemary or mint;
- a few cranberries or cherries (frozen or fresh);
- a handful of candied fruits;
- a handful of pomegranate seeds.
For glaze:
- 3 large eggs;
- 150 g sugar;
- 1 pinch of salt;
- vanillin - on the tip of a knife.
Preparation
Brush a muffin tin with vegetable oil and lightly dust with flour, shaking off excess. In one bowl, combine 360 g flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and baking soda. In the other - sour cream, vanillin and cinnamon.
Beat butter and sugar with a mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Introduce the spiced sour cream. Then gradually add the flour mixture and milk, constantly beating the dough with a mixer.
Place the dough in a muffin tin and bake in an oven preheated to 160 ° C for 40-50 minutes. Check the readiness with a toothpick: it should come out of the cake completely clean.
Prepare the orange for decorating the cupcake in advance. Cut it into thin slices (you will need 3-4 slices for a muffin), place on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake at 100 ° C for a couple of hours.
In the meantime, the cake is cooling, pour a glass of water into a saucepan, add 100 g of sugar, put on low heat and wait for the sugar to dissolve. Increase heat, simmer for another minute and remove from heat. Dip the rosemary or mint sprigs in the syrup, shake off, roll in the remaining sugar and place on a plate to dry. Repeat with the berries.
The glaze should be done in a water bath. Pour 2.5 cm of water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. In a bowl, combine the egg whites, sugar and salt. Place the bowl over a saucepan and whisk the mixture for 3-5 minutes until the sugar dissolves. Then remove the bowl, add vanillin and beat the frosting with a mixer for another 7-10 minutes.
Place the icing on top of the cooled muffin. Garnish with oranges, candied sprigs and berries, candied fruit and pomegranate.
10. Coconut cookies "Yolochki"
Ingredients
For cookies:
- 120 g butter;
- 250 g icing sugar;
- 2 tablespoons of milk;
- 280 g coconut flakes;
- vanillin - on the tip of a knife;
- green food coloring.
For decoration:
- 100 g of white chocolate;
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- a few M & M's sweets.
Preparation
Melt the butter. Add powdered sugar and milk to it and stir. Then add the coconut, vanillin and food coloring. Stir well again. Form small cones from this mixture.
Place the trees in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Then, stirring constantly, melt the chocolate, butter and milk over low heat. Dip the tops of the trees in the icing, decorate with sweets, place in a container and refrigerate.
