I'm a longtime runner fan. I remember very well how this genre was born together with Temple Run, how it developed and changed, periodically changing its skin and leaders in the App Store. Today I want to present you a great new runner - Lara Croft: Relic Run.
Unlike many modern Temple Run clones, Lara Croft is more than just a genre benchmark. She managed to surpass the original game in its beauty, detail and thoughtfulness.
Outwardly, the games are very similar. We run through the jungle, trying to take away sacred relics with us, collect coins along the way, improve the character and start the path again. But every detail of Lara Croft is so traced and beautifully animated that I can say with confidence: this game should soon become a real hit on the App Store and a new ideal of the genre.
The controls in the game are classic: you need to swipe left, right, up and down, dodging obstacles. But Lara can not only jump, but also run on walls, do parkour, ride a motorcycle and even shoot monsters on the way.
The only thing is that Lara Croft should not be played on older devices. Due to the high details, it slows down a lot or does not start at all. I recommend to everyone else to download this game, the App Store has long lacked runners of this level!
