We've all heard about Mailbox. The same email client that made a splash with its appearance in the AppStore. Whether this is due to the unique functionality, or to the fact that this is the first application that could only be obtained after standing in line, but the fact remains that the application has become wildly popular. This is very easy to check - if after the release of the application, clones begin to appear in it, then you are doing everything right. Is Boxer another Mailbox clone? Basically yes, but Boxer went further and improved everything Orchestra did.

Boxer is an email client that helps you clear up your mail jams. And if in Mailbox you could only archive, postpone a letter or send it to a special folder, then Boxer gives you much more to do. This is what the main screen looks like with your mail. Nothing fancy - iOS 7's simple and flat interface.

The main emphasis is on gestures, and, unlike Mailbox, any gesture can be reconfigured for yourself. Personally, I'm used to the Mailbox gestures, but in Boxer they are slightly different, so I changed all the gestures.

It is also interesting that you can send an email to Evernote. Mailbox lacked this functionality. Here is the entire list of actions that you can do with emails.

An interesting feature of the application is the built-in Sanebox service, which we are talking about. In short, this service filters your mail based on your preferences and puts junk mail in a separate folder. I liked it, although in the first couple of days you will have to set up filters to avoid accidentally getting rid of important mail. The service is connected in just a few clicks.

We recently wrote about. Boxer also has similar functionality. All standard templates are in English, but you can create your own and quickly reply to incoming emails. Boxer supports Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, iCloud, Google Apps, Hotmail / Outlook.com, and Exchange.

And a little more functionality. You can postpone the letter for a specific time by adding a reminder date, severity, or delegating the letter to someone. You can also set a password to log into the app and connect to third-party services: Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Facebook and LinkedIn.

It was very unexpected to see an email client that can not only fight against the standard Mail.app and Mailbox, but in some ways even surpass them. The number of interesting innovations in Boxer is off the charts, so the client is definitely worth your attention. Will you try?
