The easiest burger

What's the hardest part about making a burger for you? Cutlet? This is true. Buns are sold in almost every store. Chopping vegetables, adding cheese and some ready-made sauce is also easy. But to cook a tasty cutlet so that it does not burn, does not fall apart, it turns out juicy, of the correct size, shape and thickness, is really difficult. The beauty of today's burger is that it doesn't have a patty.

We're making a Sloppy Joe burger that uses minced meat sauce instead of a cutlet.

Minced meat is much less demanding on the skills of a cook and forgives many mistakes. In other words, it is extremely difficult to spoil it.

Recipe

To prepare a burger, you need a minimum of food. The classic Slut Joe recipe includes minced beef, onions, tomatoes (fresh, in their own juice, pasta or ketchup), Worcestershire sauce, spices and burger buns.

Please note that in this case there is no purpose to prepare a specific dish with a strict recipe and proportions. A burger with meat sauce instead of a cutlet is a concept. The variability of ingredients is almost endless.

Don't have a product? Replace or simply remove. Do you want to add something? Forward! Use mixed ground or ground poultry. Include cheese and whatever comes to mind. Use common sense only. The kitchen is pure creativity. Experiment, look for your combination of products. This is the beauty of home cooking and the key to obtaining the perfect dishes that are created by you and only for you.

Peel and finely chop the onion.

Next comes the turn of the sweet pepper. Inside it has a bunch of small seeds that are not good for food. To save time and effort, cut the peppers as shown in the photo. First, carefully cut the pepper in a crisscross pattern from tip to base without hitting the core.

Now gently break off the resulting slices. That's all. No seed problems.

Place the skillet over low heat. Add some vegetable oil and cook chopped celery, onions and bell peppers. Remember to stir them periodically.

Don't like washing your gas stove? Remove the grill and burners, cover the surface of the stove with cling foil, make cutouts for the burners, replace the burners and the rack.

Everything that previously fell on the surface of the stove, dried on it and burned, will now remain on the foil. Change the foil as it gets dirty and forget about washing the stove.

After 10-15 minutes, add finely chopped garlic to the vegetables and mix thoroughly.

To make peeling easier, place the garlic clove on a cutting board, place the knife with a dice, and lightly hit from above.

The tooth will slightly flatten. This will not interfere with its further cutting, but the husks will peel off much easier.

Are you worried about your hand? Use any flat object instead of a knife, such as a frying spatula.

3 minutes after adding the garlic, send the minced meat to the vegetables.

After another 15–20 minutes, when the minced meat is fried, you can add a little dry white wine or water and wait until the liquid boils away. You don't have to add, the result won't get any worse.

It's the turn of the tomatoes, which will make the freshest pasta. Boil about one and a half liters of water. Cut out the bases of the fruit.

Place the tomatoes in hot water for a couple of minutes and then remove.

After heat treatment, the skin will peel off the fruit without any resistance. Peeled tomatoes are blended into a smooth paste.

Don't have a blender? You can use a mashed potato or simply chop the tomatoes very finely. If you don't feel like messing around with fresh tomatoes at all, use the tomatoes in their own juice - you will need to knead them first.

Tomato paste goes to an almost ready-made meat sauce.

Now all this needs to be salt, season and simmer for another 15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.

If you want to add fresh herbs, add about 5 minutes before cooking ends.

Do you want your food to be even tastier and more flavorful? Then do a simple salt tuning. Add finely chopped fresh rosemary to it and leave the mixture in a sealed container for a few days.

Congratulations, you now have your rosemary salt. The same trick works with thyme (thyme).

It's time to get busy with buns.

Cut them so that the bottom is thicker. This will keep the burger dry longer.

To make the buns tastier, softer inside and even better resist getting wet, they should be kept in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Place the bun halves on a baking sheet, cut side down.

They shouldn't burn, so check back periodically.

Innings

Sloppy Joe differs from classic burgers in that it doesn't need to be styled nicely. Place the meat sauce on the bottom half of the bun.

Now cover with the other half.

Let some of the sauce fall out - that's okay for Slut Joe, which is why he is called a slut.:)

The amount of sauce is determined by your appetite. Yes, yes, while eating, the sauce will continue to fall out, but that's by design.

Remember the almost unlimited recipe variability? Fine. Use it 100% to create your own unique dish. In our case, slices of processed cheese are stacked on top of the meat sauce.

You can add anything: pickled cucumbers, onion rings, lettuce … Delicious!

The resulting burger is at least not inferior, and in many respects surpasses the classic with a cutlet in taste due to the much greater flexibility of the composition and proportions. It's not even worth talking about the speed and ease of preparation.

The beauty is that ready-made meat sauce can be used as you like. It will be good in a burger, in pasta, and even in a casserole with potatoes or eggplant. The result will be awesome anyway. Don't believe me? Try to cook this delicious dish and see for yourself.
