Instagram now has a data transfer tool that can be used by every user of the service. It was created in order for the social network to meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, which comes into force on May 25 in the European Union.

How to get a copy
1. Log into your Instagram account. Click this link or the Privacy & Security section, and then click Request File in the Data Download subcategory.
2. Confirm your mail.
3. Enter the password and click on the "Request file" button.
4. Within 48 hours you will receive a file with photos, comments, profile information.
5. Download the data, but remember that the link will be active for four days.
