Google Pixel smartphones can be operated with a fingerprint scanner. The Fingerprint Gestures app brings this cool feature to other Android devices.

Fingerprint Gestures gives you quick access to 18 smartphone functions. For example, using a fingerprint scanner, you can switch tracks, stop or start playback, turn on the flashlight, open the notification or settings panel, launch applications, and so on.

In total, Fingerprint Gestures allows you to use three gestures: single tap, double tap and swipe. Thus, no more than three functions can be added to the scanner at the same time. This, of course, is not much, but it still allows you to create full-fledged combinations. If you often listen to music on your smartphone, use the indicated gestures to control the playlist. If you take a lot of photos, set up a quick launch of the camera, photo manipulation apps and Instagram.

In addition, Fingerprint Gestures can be taught to perceive gestures only from fingerprints entered into the phone base. Unfortunately, this only works for a single press.

And now a little fly in the ointment. Firstly, the application does not work correctly on all phones. Some models do not accept gestures. Secondly, hibernation and page rewind up or down can be enabled only if you have root rights. And, of course, Fingerprint Gestures only works on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and higher systems.

However, be that as it may, Fingerprint Gestures offers the largest set of gestures for a fingerprint scanner to a wide audience, which means that it definitely deserves attention.
