After yesterday's announcement of Apple's new music streaming service, a separate page dedicated to Apple Music has appeared on the company's website. The information on it indicates the number of countries in which the music service will be launched at the end of this month, June 30. According to preliminary information, Russia may also enter the first hundred states.
According to Vedomosti, sources from major record companies have confirmed to the publication the price of Apple's new music service in Russia. The monthly subscription will cost RUB 169.
The final price of Apple Music for the US market was announced yesterday. It was $ 9.99 per month of listening to music. At the current exchange rate, this amount is approximately 560 rubles.
Apple would hardly have voiced such a price against the background of competitors. The main competitors available on the Russian market, Google Play and Yandex. Music, are available to the user for 189 and 149 rubles per month, respectively. Considering the lower cost of music in iTunes for the Russian market, such a significant "discount" looks quite justified for Apple.
Recall that the global launch of Apple Music will take place on June 30. The service will allow you to stream music or special 24/7 Beats 1 radio for a flat monthly fee.
