Power Nap is an app for monitoring your daytime sleep. It tracks your movements during sleep and based on them wakes you up in REM sleep. In principle, nothing new, but still interesting. I decided to sleep with him to see if Power Nap is worth downloading.

The last time I slept during the day was about a year ago. But when I decided to check out this app, I woke up three hours earlier than usual and fell asleep at 12 noon to see if there was any point in buying the Power Nap app.

It turned out that there is. Power Nap works in the same way as Sleep Cycle, which I talked about here. It monitors your movements and the sounds you make in your sleep (well, at least it doesn't record) to wake you up during REM sleep. The overwhelmed state in the morning arises from waking up in the deep sleep phase, when the body is resting and gaining strength.

Before using the application for the first time, you need to pass the test by placing the phone next to you and spinning next to it. If the gadget beeps, it means that Power Nap is at the right distance and will pick up all the sounds you make. Most likely, you sleep in the same place, so you only need to take the test once, find the right place and leave your smartphone there at all times.

After you have set the time you want to sleep, you need to set an additional alarm in case the application for some reason cannot wake you up.

I set the alarm for half an hour and the app woke me up after 28 minutes. I woke up really fresh and vigorous, but I'm not sure if this is the merit of Power Nap, and not mine.

Special attention should be paid to sounds. Here, various sounds of nature act as alarm melodies: the sound of rain, birdsong and so on. It helps to wake up smoothly.

In general, since I woke up without any problems or a broken state, I can recommend Power Nap to install to anyone who often sleeps during the day.
