Open any article, choose "Listen" (Text to Speech) from the menu, and you are prompted to choose which Text To Speech tool will be used. You can choose the native instrument or download additional modules from Google Play.

We select the language of the text from those installed on your device. Pocket does not translate the text, so if you run the voice acting of the English text in Russian, you will get nothing but slurred speech.

In the player itself, you can set the speed of reading the article and skip uninteresting places using the arrows. If you do not pay attention to the errors of intonation and stress, which sometimes occur in voice acting, you can quite comfortably listen to interesting articles.

Even better, you can listen to them offline as easily as you can read them. So if you run out of traffic, it's okay.

Listening to articles on iPhone

To listen to articles on Apple gadgets, you need to download the free Lisgo app, sync it with your Pocket account, and get a list of your articles.

After that, you can listen to any article and even choose the place from which you want to read it. For example, if you didn’t have time to listen to a long article on your way to work, you don’t have to rewind the text manually to the place where you left off.
