Candy is a new service for capturing, storing and organizing online information. It works with bookmarks, texts and quotes, and also boasts integration with Trello and Slack.
There are a large number of different bookmarking services on the web, so it is very difficult for a beginner to stand out from them. It strives for this with all its might, providing users with interesting and very useful functions that are not found in competitors.
To use Candy, you need to install a special extension for the Google Chrome browser. With it, you can save links, selected fragments and entire pages to your directory. To access it, click on the extension button located on each page in the lower right corner.
To display saved elements, an additional panel that pops up on the right is used. It is divided into three tabs. On the first one you can see a short log of your actions, the second one shows all saved links and notes. The third is for creating and displaying sets of bookmarks, which are called Storylines here.
A useful feature of the service is the function of saving the full text of the page for any bookmark and the ability to view it in an easy-to-read form. In this mode, it is much better to work with text and share, if necessary, saved quotes.
An additional argument in favor of Candy is also the ability to integrate it with popular services Trello and Slack, which allows you to turn saved notes into tasks or share with colleagues in a work chat.
The Candy service is currently in beta testing and is available for free use by everyone. The company has not yet announced whether the developers plan to introduce any tariff plans or premium features in the future.
