Endomondo is one of the best such apps out there. It is suitable for professional and experienced athletes, as well as those who are just embarking on the path of a healthy lifestyle.
So, Endomondo will record not only the time of the session, the "covered" path (your track), the number of calories, steps or average speed. It will introduce a social competitive component (Main Screen → Select Workout → Beat a friend). And if you don't have friends who use it, you can motivate yourself in a different way: set a goal (temporary, by the number of calories burned or a goal by the distance you have to overcome, a goal to break your own record).
The nice thing was that you can find routes nearby (to do this, you need to click on the side slider icon, select Routes, and then the Nearby tab) and use them for your training, saving your favorite tracks to your favorites (My Favorites).
The authorization is extremely simple. You can log in using your facebook account, or traditionally, leaving your email. Immediately after you log in, you will see an offer to add friends. Use it, in this case, inviting friends will work for you as an additional competitive and social motivation.
The main screen is extremely simple, clear and beautiful. It has two modes, the second is in the form of a map, and a large green button calling you to start training.
Just one field should be filled in before starting a workout - this is the type of sport you intend to do (running is selected by default). The rest of the fields are also customizable at the request of the owner of the phone. You can display on the main screen the workout time, distance covered, calories burned, pulse (pulse is displayed if you use an additional device that connects to the application, speed, average speed, fluid loss, total number of steps, number of steps per minute).
At the end of the workout, press the stop with an elegant movement of the hand and see the workout statistics, which can be shared on facebook.

The application also has a section with interval training (three preset workouts and the ability to create your own program).
The summary that I can take after the first acquaintance with the application: convenience 5 out of 5, pleasant and easy-to-use interface. The app is well worth the money.
