You have heard more than once that all successful people are early risers, and you may have thought about changing your regime. But it's one thing to think about it, and quite another to carry out your idea. In general, the process of "becoming a lark" is very complex and long-term. And I went through this, so I want to share my experience with you.
How I got thoughts about regime change
A few years ago I was the most ordinary "owl": I went to bed in the second half of the night, got out of bed almost at lunchtime, and everything was fine. But then I got a new job, now I could not sleep for a long time. It's time to change your regimen. I realized this right away, but I did not even expect that becoming a "morning person" is so difficult, therefore, after several unsuccessful attempts, I succeeded.
What i had to do
I started with a simple one - I went to bed earlier, no later than midnight. I also set several alarms in the morning and stopped eating before bed. Oddly enough, these simple actions are quite enough, but adhering to such a regime is always quite difficult. As a result, I still forced myself, and it worked. It turned out that you just need to overcome yourself, and long instructions from the Internet are not needed.
What I had to get rid of, what I got
For several years now I have been a morning person: I go to bed earlier, I wake up at half past five. I had to give up the nightlife in all its manifestations. I stopped working late, I try to complete everything during working hours, and what I do not have time, I postpone the next day. That's all I got rid of, you may have a bigger list of things to drop.
The first thing that I discovered when I started waking up early in the morning was that there was no one to talk to, almost everyone was asleep. But this is not so scary, you will definitely have morning friends.
Now I have time for morning jogging, you can enjoy the morning air. There is a lot of time for work, by the way, it is much easier to work in the morning than in the evening and at night. There is a lot of free time, which, of course, pleases.
I would like to say that becoming a morning person is quite simple, you just need to want to. You have to give up the nightlife, but it's worth it, because you get a lot more. In addition, this lifestyle has a beneficial effect on health and well-being.
And who are you: "lark" or "owl"?
