The Snapdragon 835 has been compared to previous Qualcomm processors as well as Kirin and Exynos-based devices. You can guess the results: we have a new leader.
The Snapdragon 835 is an update to Qualcomm's line of processors. This is the CPU you'll see in every top smartphone in 2017.
The buyer often does not care how exactly they managed to increase the performance and due to which they reduced the energy consumption of the hardware of the smartphone. Everyone is interested in benchmarks. Here is one of the first comparisons of Snapdragon 835 in performance tests.
Snapdragon 835 is at least 20% faster and 25% more energy efficient than Snapdragon 820. GPU performance increased by 40%.

Geekbench 4
Geekbench 4 is a synthetic benchmark for testing CPU performance. Snapdragon 835 is in the lead in it: in multi-core mode it produces 40% more results than in Snapdragon 821. In single-core mode, the result is also higher - by 10% in performance.
GFXBench GL Benchmark
The test consists of several graphical benchmarks (Open GL ES 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0). All smartphones, regardless of the characteristics of their screens, used a picture of the same resolution. In the toughest test, the Snapdragon 835 outperforms the Snapdragon 821 by 30%, thanks in part to the new Adreno 540 GPU.
The GFXBench results are further proof that Qualcomm is better at graphics than Exynos or Kirin.
AnTuTu
One of the most famous synthetic tests, which demonstrates the speed of information processing from the built-in memory of devices, tests RAM, GPU, CPU and other parameters. The Snapdragon 835 has more points in this test than the competition. But don't just rely on this benchmark when choosing a smartphone for performance.
3DMark
3DMark initially tested desktop computers. Over time, the test migrated to mobile platforms and now feels confident in a number of benchmarks for smartphones. 3DMark tests what the graphics system is capable of. Filling on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip is almost 50% better at processing data than competing devices.
PCMark 1.0
This benchmark tests the hardware for typical workloads. The OnePlus 3T was never tested (most likely due to the fact that the test was not carried out on the latest version of PCMark).
Octane, Kraken, SunSpider
Tests demonstrating JavaScript performance. Snapdragon 835 has a solid lead here: for example, Octane is 40% from Exynos.
Recall that the first smartphone on sale equipped with the Snapdragon 835 will be the Samsung Galaxy S8. Its presentation will take place on March 29. The novelty will be on the market within a month.
Due to the fact that Qualcomm is busy releasing processors for the Galaxy S8, other large companies have not been able to equip their latest flagships with the same processor. Therefore, other smartphones with the new Snapdragon 835 processor are unlikely to appear earlier than summer.
