The autumn was especially successful for the developers: the beauty of nature is breathtaking. This mechanic brings variety to the gameplay as well. Assassin's Creed Odyssey

After the announcement of Odyssey, many expected it to be something like Assassin's Creed Origins 1.5. But as a result, the game turned out to be almost the best part of the series. A huge colorful Ancient Greece, dozens of interesting characters, a sharp-tongued protagonist (especially if you chose Kassandra) and just an insane amount of content - Odyssey is truly captivating.

This part of Assassin's Creed is an almost purebred RPG. Characters that the player meets in side quests sometimes appear in other tasks, and they always remember how the main character treated them. While there aren't many opportunities to wager in Odyssey, the decisions here have consequences. There are even several endings in the game, and they depend on the actions of the player.

God of war

After releasing three numbered parts of God of War and several spin-offs, Sony decided to relaunch the series. Gone are the titanic Greek gods, the fixed camera position and the boundless rage of Kratos. Now this is a third-person action game in which the plot and the relationship of the god of war with his son are in the first place. And instead of Greek mythology - Scandinavian.

The combat system in the game is deep and dynamic - not least thanks to the gorgeous animations and the many skills available. And in between battles, God of War tells an amazing story, in which there was a place for both family problems and monsters from the beliefs of the northern peoples.

Kingdom come: deliverance

Historical RPG with an emphasis on realism. The Czech studio Warhorse has been working on it for over four years. The authors wanted to create the most realistic game about medieval Czech Republic - and in part they succeeded.

Kingdom Come really takes into account a huge number of parameters: how long the hero slept and ate, how much equipment he carries with him, and so on. The game world also looks authentic: forests stretch for kilometers, people in castles and villages go about their business.

Unfortunately, full immersion in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages is hampered by the abundance of bugs and incomplete mechanics. Nevertheless, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a rare representative of an RPG about an ordinary person who remains nothing throughout the entire plot.

Shadow of the colossus

Platforms: PlayStation 4.

Shadow of the Colossus is a remake of the 2005 cult game from game designer Fumito Ueda. The idea here is simple: in order to save the girl, the main character must defeat 16 colossi - huge stone monsters. In addition to destroying them, there is practically nothing to do in the game: the whole process is tied to these creatures.

Each opponent is a small puzzle. The game with the help of gameplay hints how to defeat the next colossus: one needs to jump on his back until he dives under the water, the other needs to be knocked off the wall with an arrow. Each enemy needs its own approach.

Although Shadow of the Colossus has almost no cutscenes and dialogues, it is very atmospheric. Gorgeous graphics and meditative gameplay allow you to feel the spirit of fatalism, which is imbued with action.

Marvel's Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man is a rare example of a really good Spider-Man game. Meticulously recreated Manhattan, charismatic protagonist and captivating storyline helped the action to earn high marks from the press and players. The developers were especially good at flying around the city on the web - although there is fast movement in the game, they absolutely do not want to use it.

Despite the fact that there are drawbacks (for example, an abundance of bugs), this is a great superhero action game that will appeal to both Spider fans and everyone else.

After years of popularity in Japan, the Monster Hunter series has entered the wider market to show gamers around the world that hunting huge monsters is fun. And she did it.

Gorgeous graphics, slightly changed mechanics and focus on the main platforms allowed the action to earn high marks from the press and players. It's hard not to feel like a winner when, after preparation, tracking and a long battle, you finally kill the monster, getting the opportunity to make more powerful weapons and armor out of its parts.

Detroit: Become Human

Detroit is an interactive movie about androids fighting for equal rights with humans. In the game, three things are first of all striking: the graphics, the setting and the number of options for the development of the plot.

Despite the fact that the developers use simple cinematic techniques, thanks to the excellent work of the actors and the almost photorealistic graphics, the characters are imbued with sympathy.

The plot here lacks stars from the sky: in some moments, the play with the clumsy script resembles detective films from the nineties. But Detroit takes it differently: depending on the player's decisions, events here can develop in completely different ways. Even if you play the game 10 times in a row, you will not see everything that the developers have prepared. It depends on the actions and skills of the player which of the heroes will survive and what the ending will be - there are exactly 40 of them.

Wreckfest

Wreckfest is the conceptual successor to the FlatOut series. The most important thing here is accidents. They look amazing, sound delicious and feel great. To ram an opponent at full speed is a real pleasure, and the game in every possible way motivates you to do so.

Wreckfest has many modes, from classic circuit races to insane competitions like combine derby. The game has problems like a convoluted server creation process, but they do not prevent Wreckfest from being one of the best racing games on the market.

Subnautica

After nearly four years in Early Access, Subnautica is finally out. This game is a rare example of a project that has steadily developed throughout the entire development time, and in the end turned into a much more thoughtful and rich work than originally planned.

Subnautica is a survival game in which the player has to spend most of their time underwater looking for food and resources to create gadgets. Over time, you can go deeper and deeper in order to find more valuable resources and build more advanced devices.

The coolest thing about Subnautica is the storyline that is harmoniously woven into the exploration of the world. In the depths, the player will inevitably stumble upon mysterious buildings and creepy monsters and want to know more about them. Studying the history of the planet here is almost a greater pleasure than crafting and hunting for resources.
