Safari can now save web pages and open them later in Kindle. A life hacker will tell you how to do this.
After a recent update, the Send to Kindle feature is now available in Safari. Now you can save any material from the Internet and read the article later.
The Send to Kindle button is available if the Kindle app is installed on the iPhone. To save the material you like, you need:
- Install the app from the App Store and log into your Amazon account.
- Open the webpage you want to save to your Kindle and click Share.
From the row of apps, select More, find Send to Kindle at the bottom of the list, and turn it on. If you will be using it frequently, pull three strips to move the button higher. Click Finish
- To save the article you want, click Send to Kindle in the Share menu.
- The Kindle will prompt you to rename the content. After making changes to the title or source of the article, click Send.
- The article will now appear in the Kindle app on your device (in the Docs menu) and on your Kindle reader if you have one. The app only stores the text of the web page with some media and outgoing links.
Send to Kindle, like Pocket or Instapaper, saves web pages for later. But the Kindle will remind you of new saved and unread content when you launch the application. Other programs don't do that.
