This isn't the first time a Chinese manufacturer has launched smart running shoes: there are already running shoes on the market, created by Xiaomi in conjunction with Li-Ning. But if it used a chip of its own production, then the new sneakers grew up to Intel.

We also worked on pricing. The old model of Xiaomi sneakers cost at least $ 50, the 2017 model - $ 43. The difference is small, but nice.

The novelty is intended primarily for professional athletes. Everything is done for a safe and comfortable workout: foam sole, shock-absorbing air cushion, instep support, removable antibacterial insole, anti-slip design.

The main feature of the sneaker is the ability of the Intel smart chip to recognize different types of movement and store data about them.

The chip distinguishes when a person is running, walking or cycling, and records data on distance, speed, number of steps and calories burned. The application, synchronized with the chip, not only calculates workout metrics, but can also compose a track.

You can run for 60 days on one charge in smart shoes.

Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart for men was released in black and blue, for women - in black and pink. We also presented a special series of smart sneakers made of luminescent material for those who like to run in the evening. The shoes will make the runner visible to car drivers and other road users.

The smart sneakers will go on sale on April 15th.
