From smartphones to sneakers.
1. Xiaomi Mi Band 3
Mi Band 3 is one of the brightest new Xiaomi products in 2018. At a relatively low price, this gadget offers a full range of features that a modern fitness bracelet should have.
He knows how to count the steps taken and calories burned, measure the pulse, notify about calls and messages, wake up at the appointed time and even show the weather forecast. At the same time, on a single charge, Mi Band 3 works for about two weeks.
Also, the advantages of the device include easy replacement of straps and full protection of the case from moisture and dust. All this allowed the bracelet to become not only a popular favorite, but also the best gadget of the year according to our editorial team.
2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
Introduced at the beginning of the year, Redmi Note 5, released in some countries as Redmi Note 5 Pro, has become one of the most balanced smartphones in its class. It received a large screen with FHD + resolution, dual main cameras, a capacious 4000 mAh battery and a face recognition function, which even many flagships did not have at the time of the announcement.
The processor also did not disappoint: Xiaomi used a fresh Snapdragon 636 with an Adreno 509 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM, depending on the version, was 3 or 4 GB, and the built-in memory was 32 or 64 GB.
Its main advantage was its attractive price, which by the end of 2018 dropped to a minimum.
3. Xiaomi ZMI Aura
More recently, under the ZMI brand, Xiaomi has released a new powerbank Aura with a capacity of 20,000 mAh. It supports two-way fast charging up to 27W, and the battery itself can be recharged via both microUSB and USB Type-C.
The matte plastic case houses the original dot display showing the percentage of remaining charge. There is a button on the side to switch to USB hub mode, which is designed for gadgets that consume a small amount of current. For example, fitness bracelets.
4. Heated jacket
Last autumn, Xiaomi, together with 90 Minutes, demonstrated a heated jacket, which aroused great interest among users. On a proprietary crowdfunding platform, she raised almost 15 times more funds than was originally required.
Inside such a jacket are hidden several heating elements made of carbon nanotubes, completely imperceptible to the user. The system is activated by pressing only one button. An external battery acts as a power source, which is placed in a special pocket and connected by a wired method.
The lining of the jacket is made of goose down and has a waterproof layer on top. There is a short circuit protection and the ability to adjust the heating level.
5. Xiaomi Pocophone F1
The main feature of the Pocophone F1 is the unprecedented performance-to-price ratio. For only $ 300, it offers the most flagship hardware, led by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, supplemented by 6 or 8 GB of RAM.
In addition, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel selfie camera with face recognition, good sound, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a capacious 4000 mAh battery with USB Type-C charging.
The Pocophone F1 is the perfect choice for those looking for the most powerful smartphone for the minimum money. It is perfect for both new 3D games and any other mobile entertainment.
6. Xiaomi Mijia Quartz Watch
The stylish Mijia Quartz Watch combines the time-tested quartz movement with the basic functions of a fitness tracker. The gadget can count steps, notify by vibration of important calls and act as an alarm clock.
The clock is set via the application on the smartphone. Statistics are also viewed there. The connection is via Bluetooth. In terms of autonomy, you can count on six months of work, after which you only have to replace the CR2430 battery built into the case.
The Mijia Quartz Watch has a steel case with water resistance, mineral glass and a genuine leather strap. Available in three colors: black, gray and white with a blue strap.
7. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
Introduced at the end of March, the Mi Mix 2S has become one of Xiaomi's most balanced flagships this year. He received an almost frameless screen without "bangs", a stylish ceramic body and top-end filling based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
Mi Mix 2S is equipped with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The main camera is dual, with a pair of 12 megapixel sensors, one of which is responsible for optical zoom. In DxOMark testing, the smartphone scored 97 points, equal to the iPhone X.
Even after the announcement of the new Mi Mix 3, the Mix 2S model is still relevant and attractive, especially given the markedly reduced price.
8. Xiaomi Mijia 2 Fishbone
Mijia 2 Fishbone are comfortable sneakers for running and exercising in the gym, which can be safely machine washed. Their main feature is a frame with five ribs of strength on both sides. When the laces are tightened, the sneakers fit tightly around the foot, providing a secure fit for the foot.
The upper is made of textiles with a different density of viscous. The outsole features a five-layer structure with a ribbed outer coating for good traction on any surface, and PU foam for soft cushioning.
Xiaomi Mijia 2 Fishbone does not have a built-in pedometer, but even without it, they can be safely recommended as high-quality and reliable sports shoes. They are in no way inferior to the shoes of famous brands, but at the same time they are much cheaper.
9. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3 ″
This year, Xiaomi has updated the Mi Notebook Air 13.3 ″ with more powerful versions with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7. These models are complemented by discrete graphics GeForce MX150, are equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage on the SSD.
At the end of the year, a more affordable version of the Mi Notebook Air 13, 3 ″ with Core i3 was presented. It turned out to be noticeably cheaper than the previous modifications, which was achieved not only by using a less powerful chip, but also by abandoning discrete graphics.
Otherwise, these models are identical. They have a 13.3-inch IPS screen, a backlit keyboard, speakers from AKG, a fingerprint scanner and a battery with support for fast charging.
10. Xiaomi Black Shark Helo
Announced in October, the Black Shark Helo is the company's second gaming smartphone and one of the first to have 10GB of RAM. Inside, it has a powerful Snapdragon 845 and a liquid cooling system with two heat pipes to reduce the heat level of the case during games.
The smartphone turned out to be interesting not so much with its filling as with additional accessories. One of them is a compact Bluetooth gamepad that comes standard with the device.
Separately, Black Shark Helo owners can purchase a second controller with a round trackpad and an additional set of mechanical buttons, as well as a massive case with active cooling. All these accessories allow you to get the most out of any shooters, races and arcades.
11. Xiaomi Mi A2
Xiaomi Mi A2 has become an almost perfect mid-range smartphone on a pure version of Android. It received a powerful and modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM and one of the best cameras in its class.
The main photomodule of the smartphone includes 12 and 20 megapixel sensors with ƒ / 1, 75 aperture. For selfies, a 20 megapixel camera with support for processing algorithms based on artificial intelligence is provided.
The main drawback of the Mi A2 was the lack of an NFC chip, which is so necessary for contactless payments. However, taking into account the current price, this minus can be forgiven for the smartphone.
12. Xiaomi Amazfit Bip
This smartwatch is similar to both the Pebble and the Apple Watch at the same time, but their main feature was not design at all, but incredible autonomy. On a single charge, the gadget can last up to 45 days. This indicator was achieved through the use of an energy-efficient transflective display.
The watch tracks all types of activity and is equipped with a heart rate monitor, gyroscope, barometric pressure sensor and even a GPS module. Amazfit Bip syncs with the smartphone via the Mi Fit app and can show almost all notifications.
With all this, the watch has a waterproof case and now costs less than 5,000 rubles, which allowed it to become a truly popular gadget and an excellent alternative to the Mi Band 3 bracelet.
