When we act aimlessly and only react to what is happening every day, then we drive ourselves into a frame. Our character softens, gradually we lose the ability to set ourselves tasks in accordance with our plans, we only have the strength to react.

We move in a stream, we are influenced by the desires and goals of other people. Only years later, an understanding comes to us - we finally wake up and realize that we have wasted time pointlessly. Deep feelings and suffering arise, but it may be too late to change something. All of this can be avoided if you stop living under pressure and take control of life into your own hands.

Control your thoughts

Life unfolds here and now. But often we allow the present to slip away from us, and waste precious minutes worrying about the future and remembering the past. At work, we dream of a vacation, and on vacation we worry about the number of papers waiting for us at work. To live the way you want it, you need to learn to live every moment.

Be mindful of the present and your thoughts. Try to observe them, but do not succumb to their flow. Control your thoughts. You will notice how you become more consciously using your time, you will stop procrastinating. You will have more time and energy for important things.

Learn to enjoy a beautiful view, and do not think about how long it will take you home, eat cookies without thinking that they will add extra pounds to you. Allow yourself to just enjoy the moment and do not experience unnecessary fear.

To do something good, stop thinking about it

We often think that others are evaluating us every minute. For example, in a dance lesson, you cannot relax because you know you cannot dance and look funny in the eyes of others. Fear of judgment prevents people from trying new things. But everyone is too busy with themselves to constantly celebrate your failures.

If something terrifies you very much - speaking in public, having to talk to a stranger on the phone, or going to the gym for the first time - don't focus on it. This will only increase your fear.

Try to focus less on yourself. Pay more attention to what is happening around you. Become aware of yourself as part of what is happening, not the only actor. This will help you cope with your emotions and respond appropriately to your surroundings. This way you can work on your weaknesses.

To squeeze as much out of time as possible, lose track of it

When you are engrossed in something interesting, you stop keeping track of time. This happens when we enjoy what we are doing. We also do not count the time when we sleep. But you can't just plunge into the activity with your head, without wanting it, so it is important to create optimal conditions for such activities.

Find an interesting goal that teaches you new things. It shouldn't be so heavy that you get stressed as you move towards it, and too light so that you don't get bored in the process.

Prioritize

One of the problems that prevent us from achieving our goals is the difficulties we think about. We often think we ought to do something when we are not. Think about whether you are doing something without desire, not seeing the point in it, just out of habit.

Is it really necessary or useful? To find out what is important in your life, use the Pareto law - 20% of your actions bring 80% of the result. Find out what exactly this 20% includes and pay more attention to it, and take a fresh look at the remaining 80%. Try to invest less time and labor in them, making room for something useful.

Make a plan so that nothing distracts you. Describe all your affairs in detail. So you no longer have to be distracted in the process of work and remember what else you need to do. The simplest planning can be used. The main thing is that it is detailed enough.

If something bothers you, don't run from it

We all experience negative emotions - pain from separation, frustration from a failed educational project, fear of public speaking. It's quite normal.

However, the problem may lie in the fact that we begin to experience secondary emotions. For example, when we are angry at our fear of performing, afraid of the pain of separation, nervous at the thought of having to do a new project. In this way, we only experience unpleasant feelings longer. The way out of this is to accept your feelings.

There is no need to try to change what happened. Just move on without pushing away your emotions or judging yourself for them. Negative experiences allow us to grow if we are not afraid to analyze them.
