City Maps 2 Go are great maps for travelers. Even the absence of the Internet will not be a hindrance for them.

Modern smartphones are one of the most important things you need to travel. Apart from money, of course. Currency converter, translator, maps and the Internet - all of this will surely be useful. But if you, like me, don't see much point in roaming internet, then City Maps 2 Go is the app that will come in handy. After all, you just need to download the maps of the desired country or city, and even without the Internet you will have access to maps, a guide to attractions and notes made.

First you need to download the map. The list contains almost all the countries of the world, and city maps are also available separately. For example, I downloaded a map of Kharkov to show all the advantages of the application in practice.

After loading, the map itself will appear, in which there is nothing special. You've seen this many times before. The main advantage of this application is that you can mark the objects of interest on the map, mark them, and they will always be available, even without the Internet. The list of Kharkov attractions in the appendix is rather scanty, so I found only Freedom Square and marked it.

For each object, you can choose a different color of the label, rate, write a comment, add a photo, and so on. The bottom right shows the distance from your location to the object.

Want to eat? In the application, you can find any objects that are nearby, and even sort by categories. Choose the one you like, put the label, and go. Since the labels are color-coded, you can mark different locations with different colors. For example, cafes and restaurants are yellow, attractions are red, hotels are blue, and so on. This will help you not to get lost in the variety of places and always know what and where is.

This is how the list of bookmarks looks like - these are places that will be marked on the map and you can always find a route to them, even without the Internet.

I could not find a single application that won City Maps 2 Go in terms of functionality and quality. The price of $ 2 (for Android $ 1) is a penny for the ability to navigate in a foreign country without inconvenient paper maps and the Internet.

But if you are still in doubt, there is a free version in the app stores with few restrictions, you can try it and decide whether to buy the full version or not. My opinion is definitely yes. If you are going on a journey, there are no better maps to be found!
