1. Yard-park, not yard-parking

Engine noise, gassed air and accidents under the windows are a common story in most Russian cities. When there is a parking lot in the yard, it is scary to let the children go for a walk alone: an inaccurate driver can run over a child, and the general lack of amenities attracts marginal companies. Because of this, children stay at home, play and move a little, miss live communication with their peers.

Look for areas in which more attention is paid to landscaping around the house. One of the latest trends is closed courtyards-parks with zones for active games and recreation, in which it is not scary to let the child go for a walk alone. For example, the concept of a courtyard-park was implemented in the residential complex "Varshavskoe shosse 141".

2. Developing playground, not plastic towns

It is normal for adults to fear for children and protect them from everything in the world. This is how “safe” areas appear - monotonous plastic structures with low slides and a tiny sandbox. In theory, this is good: you cannot climb high, jump from somewhere and hit. But children often get bruised precisely because they do not know how to assess their strength and control the body. If you grab a child on the fly, he will not learn to fall and group. If you protect him from high slides, he will not know what the height and danger are.

Childhood is about overcoming fears, not excluding them from life. Children must climb, pull up, jump and climb to learn how to control their bodies. In the game, the child understands how the world works, when he falls and bruises himself or takes risks and wins.

give such an opportunity. Natural materials - wood, sand, stone, water - allow the child to explore and explore nature. High slides, ropes and suspension bridges introduce an element of risk, leaving plenty of room for outdoor games.

3. Good kindergarten close to home

Children perceive the world differently than adults: they look at objects from a low height, are not yet familiar with textures, lines and colors. A lot of irritants act on them all the time: toys, smartphone, TV, computer, outdoor advertising. Too bright interiors in children's rooms only enhance this effect and prevent the child from concentrating.

A good kindergarten knows about these features and takes them into account when creating and arranging spaces.

The surrounding design strongly influences the state and behavior of the child. It can both contribute to concentration, and be distracting and annoying.

If there are too many colors in the design of the kindergarten space, this has a hyperstimulating effect: children become overly excited, sometimes even anxious and fearful.

How to distinguish:

  • The main light tone and two or three additional ones are used in the design. In the play area, these can be bright colors, in the bedroom or study room, calm complex shades.
  • The decoration uses natural materials with a variety of textures: wood, metal, cork.
  • The images on the walls are simplified as much as possible: abstract images and pictures develop imagination. Information is located in the child's field of vision - at a height of up to 1.5 meters.
  • Children can decorate the room and participate in the design of the group: hang their own drawing, bring their own toy, draw on the walls in a special place.

It is important that the space is easy to transform: move or remove furniture, use it for a game or a children's performance. Having mastered the universe, children begin to get bored. A changing space develops creative thinking and learning speed.

4. A school to which the child can get on his own

Excessive custody does not add independence to the child, and free time to the parents. Children can get to school on their own if they are not too far away: for example, several tram stops. The main thing is that they know how to behave in a crowded place. The Lisa Alert school specialists give the following instructions:

  1. Children should know your mobile phone number by heart.
  2. If the child is lost, he stays in place and waits, and the parents are looking for.
  3. Children can seek help from the police, a person with a child, or someone who works in the place where they are lost.
  4. You can only walk on crowded and well-lit streets.
  5. An adult never turns to a child for help - he solves his problems on his own or with other adults.

5. Developed infrastructure, not high-rise buildings in the field

For families with children, the lack of a nearby clinic, swimming pool, park and any entertainment becomes an insoluble problem. Getting from new areas to such sites is usually long, and a trip with a small child takes a lot of energy.

Therefore, a developed infrastructure is an indisputable plus for a family with children. It is equally important that there are circles and sections not far from the house. You can be skeptical about early English or fencing, but it's great when a child has the opportunity to try something new. If there are no sections and circles nearby, children are left to themselves and instead of theater, football and dancing, they will spend whole days on the Internet.
