Scientists say eye movement can tell us what kind of relationship we are looking for.

Research conducted at Wellesley College and the University of Kansas has shown interesting results. A person's eye movements differ depending on whether they are looking at the other person as a potential partner or as a friend.

The researchers analyzed the eye movements of 105 students (men and women) with traditional sexual orientation. They were shown photos of strangers. The subjects were asked to answer whether they would like friendships or romantic relationships with the people in the photo.

It turned out that men tend to look most often at a woman's breasts, waist, and hips. And it doesn't matter if they want to date her or just be friends. If a man hopes for a relationship with a woman, then he looks at her face longer.

The gaze of women is most often fixed on the chest or face of a man, if she considers him as a potential soul mate.

If both a man and a woman want only a platonic relationship, then more often than usual they look at the legs and feet of another person.
